***update. These tablets made our pool so cloudy and it had white bits floating in the water. We drained the pool without realising these were the problem. We just refilled our pool and it was perfect until we started using these again! Same problem. Won’t buy again.***I have given this product 3 stars because in the last few days the pool water has gone from crystal clear and perfectly balanced to “sticky” and slightly less clear (I wouldn’t call it cloudy at all). This would indicate a high Ph but testing says it’s around 7.2-7.4 which is perfect. I’m stumped and can only put it down to the introduction of these tablets.

Great product but alters the PH levels alot so ensure you have DeepBlue PH plus to hand also. Each tablet dissolves in about 5 days but you can pop one in every 8 days or so. Quite strong for a 6 person lazyspa so I take the tablet out every couple of days to lettg the chlorine burn off…and this makes the tablet last longer too

They are rather large tablets so too big for my floater. I’ve used a small net washing bag with zip on and to hold it in place near to filter outlet. Tablet lasts for ages 4 to 6 weeks in 12ft pool. Water still clear even though filture pump has been off now for 2 weeks

I have a LazySpa and find that one tablet is too much so I have to take it out after a couple of hours.The chemicals work and for that it is good but for the pain in having to be on hand and remember to take the dispenser out each time I would not recommend. I have now gone to grannuals as you can control the dose and provided you desolve them in some water before you add them they are much easier.

We simple place the recommended amount of tablets in our pool float and let them do there magic. I have a 10ft fast set pool, I made my own floating dispenser. I add 3 tablets at once when they have fully dissolved I repeat and so on. No green/slime etc water stays fresh and smells like a proper swim pool does. The indicator panel to tell you what colours you need to match seems to be printed off a cheap £30 epson printer and does not even match the colours on their own website! So no way to see what your results are if they worked.2. They dont work anyway. I dipped 3 strips across 3 days and even dipped one in vinegar (well below the ph!) and none of them changed colour at all – take a look at the photos. They all look the same and thts because the colour does not change whatsoever. You may as well dip any old bit of paper in there.3. Customer service was rubbish, didnt reply in more than 5 words at a time and then wouldnt even give me a refund or send new strips. Just sent me £2….AVOID AVOID AVOID

Seems to work on a very slow release method, as with the other reviewer the tablet is there the next morning, which brings me onto the big problem with this product. You get no instructions. Given you are dealing with Chlorine, most likely in a pool that kids will be playing in, having some sort of guide as to how much to use, what to expect etc would be nice. My guard was up immediately when the chlorine tablets arrived in a resealable plastic bag the likes of which you pick up in a supermarket. I would consider buying one of the more expensive models if im honest.

This is a very easy way of chlorinating your pool but you will need to Shock it every couple of weeks with another product as you can’t control how fast/slow the chlorine dissolves in your pool. Bought to revive my hot tub after not using it for the past few weeks after running out of chlorine granules (filter left running). These multi function tablets brought my hot tub water back to life after going slightly green and having a bit of a bad smell! After leaving the tablets to get to work in the floater for a few days we enjoyed the hot tub once again (and in minus temperatures)! I can see these tablets will last sometime and they are also much easier to use than granules as you pop a couple into the floater and leave it to work it’s magic rather than adding the chlorine once a day along with any other chemicals you need. I shall definitely consider purchasing these again when I run out of them.

I bought this for my 8 foot pool in the summer. I got 10 tablets, the dispenser and some test stripes. The dispenser is really easy to use and can be adjusted depending on how much chlorine is needed in the pool. I changed the tablets roughly every 8 to 10 days by which time they had dissolved. Tablets and dispenser worked really well and kept my pool clean all summer! My son used the pool all the time and said that he didn’t realise that there was chlorine in the pool which was good. Only downside is the test stripes. I used them once and didn’t like them so I threw them away.

My second mistake.There is nothing on here to say this product cannot be used with other chlorine products.Since getting these tablets I’ve not been able to stabilise my water quality.I’ve had to have my swimspa serviced early due to terrible water quality despite using these tablets thinking I was sanitising my pool.The engineers advised this pink buildup was bacteria.We will NEVER use here products again.They need to make it clear as well on here that these products should only be used if you use bromine in your pool, as all the products we have purchased are – not to be used with chlorine, we have had chlorine tablets, Ph and alkalinity increaser.All a total waste of time and waste if money!Hydropool engineers have never heard of these and know not to recommend.Terrible product!!!!!!

set the dispenser on level 2 (2 open gaps) and put a pill in, 12 hours later most of the pill still in the dispenser and water was chlorinated without being overbearing (couldn’t be bothered to test with supplied strips maybe do that once a week and adjust the settings appropriately, p.s. using a 10′ pool pump to circulate water, not the greatest construction but it does the job, ideal for low usage home use!

This is the first time that I have used pool chemicals and I must say that this device appears to work. I still had to add a healthy dose of chlorine granules (dissolved in a bucket 1st) to the pool after we came back from holiday as mosquito larvae were having a field day .. they didn’t last too long though. Have not tested with strips yet, added two tablets to a 8ft x 24 inches deep (splash pool) to give it a good dose, then I will use one tablet and see how it goes. Will update in one week!

Thought I would buy the best way tablets because I thought they would be perfect with them being their make, how wrong was I. The Chlorine level is between 5 and 10 when should around 1 to 3. The alkalinity is 0 when should be between 80 and 120. The PH is 6.2 when should be between 7.2 to 7.8. Started with these as recommended by Lay-Z-Spa, included in their starter kit etc. After a time of leaving them in the floating dispenser and getting numerous blocked filter error codes we switched to another brand of liquid chlorine. Even easier to administer, cheaper and no error codes. We take the filters out for a rinse, as recommended, no lumps of undisolved chlorine better still not getting blasted by the granules that settle in the air jet surround.

Using these for my Lay-z-spa within the floating dispenser and they seem to be working fine to maintain the Chlorine/PH levels. The water did become cloudy though at one stage and these weren’t getting rid of the issue on their own so i had to buy extra clarifier sachets and after 2 doses they cleared the water fine within about 24 hours. These mini-tablets now seem to be stabilising the water clarity and ph levels properly since then though.

Was recommend this from a friend and I like him was also really pleased with the purchase.When I upgraded from a small paddling pool to 10ft x 30 inch high pool I hadn’t really researched what I needed.This is a great little kit to help get you going, but I also ended up buying another kit for PH balance and Algaecide.The kit includes the Special Float to put the chlorine tablets in, 10 Chlorine Tablets and 10 Test Strips.I was putting 3 tablets in to start with and then went down to 2, this was with 2 slot holes open on the float.2 tablets were lasting about week before they dissolved completely and needed replacing.I’m really surprised with all the 1 star reviews saying tablets don’t dissolve.Maybe they’re not opening the slots at the bottom side of the float. It’s possible to have 0-4 holes open allowing you to adjust how quickly the tablets dissolve.I ended up with 2 different types of test strips and used both the first few times with the same results when testing the water.I now use just 1 every 4-5 days depending on how much the kids are using it.All packed up for the winter now in safe place away from the kids.

Not a fan. Bought these because the clearwater ones are expensive, but these are not particularly accurate. For pH and bromine, it is fine, but for chlorine levels it is showing presence of chlorine about 3-5ppm higher than it actually is.I am getting a positive reading in jist tap water (non chlorinated), whereas the clearwater ones show 0ppm according to their respective scales. I’ve been getting very high levels of chlorine according to these strips, which, when checked against other chlorine measures show lower amount in the hot tub.In my image, the top one is clearwater (total chlorine, pH and alkalinity) and the bottom is this product (bromine, chlorine, ph and akalanity). The chlorine is the same colour scale so directly comparable,bit different colours from the same water source!

Love these. I pop two in every other day into a cleaning holder thing that bobs around and hope for the best. I must get the strips to test really. But I have had no algae and water is clear. Would get again as I think these are easy to use compared to those kits that you have to add different chemicals to. I would recommend getting the anti foam solution as these dont prevent those frothy bubble
