Where algae is visible on the liner, brush it off first. It’s also worth confirming that free chlorine reads between 1-3mg/l (ppm), and for heavier infestations a shock dose to reach 5mp/l (ppm) free chlorine may be needed.nnnnFor the best spread, pour the algaecide in with the pump running, ideally close to the water inlets, so it disperses evenly through the pool and reaches algae wherever it’s growing. Once the initial dose is in, keep the pool clean with a weekly top-up dose.nnnnThe dosing guide below makes it simple to work out the right amount for your pool or hot tub. For a hot tub holding 1,000 liters (220 gallons), add 15ml to remove algae, 8ml for the initial dose and 2ml for the weekly dose.
