Swimming Pool Shock Treatment

Shock treatment clears the combined chlorine that makes pool water smell strongly of chlorine and sting swimmers’ eyes. Chlorine-based shock both sanitises and oxidises; non-chlorine shock oxidises without raising chlorine levels, so the pool can be used again within about fifteen minutes.
