High Strength Liquid Chlorine with Calgon: Sodium Hypochlorite Patio Cleaner Solution

This is a fresh, high quality product supplied by the UK’s largest chemical manufacturer. Every batch is certified for proper concentration, so you are not getting a diluted imitation, and it arrives in tough courier drums that hold up far better against leaks and knocks in transit or storage than the flimsy clear plastic drums sold by others.

Orders go out on a next day delivery service, so you can get started on the job without delay.

Sodium Hypochlorite High Strength works well for disinfecting swimming pools and hot tubs, and with Calgon added it is especially useful in hard water areas, helping stop pipes becoming blocked. It also gives you a fast and lasting fix for clearing moss, algae and weeds from drives, patios, walls, fences and brickwork. It ranks as the world’s leading patio cleaner and turns up, diluted, inside many other cleaning products on the market. Because our Sodium Hypochlorite Solution comes at a relatively high concentration, you shouldn’t need repeat treatments: a single application leaves surfaces clean and free of moss right away.

Sodium hypochlorite is a chemical compound with the formula NaClO, made up of a sodium cation (Na+) and a hypochlorite anion (ClO⁻); it can also be thought of as the sodium salt of hypochlorous acid. Once dissolved in water it’s generally known as bleach or liquid bleach. Chemically and practically, sodium hypochlorite is distinct from chlorine, and it’s widely used both as a disinfectant and as a bleaching agent.

Quality

Guidance for using Sodium Hypochlorite Patio Cleaner & Moss Remover

SUPER FAST : MOSS, ALGAE, LICHEN, WEEDS & MOULD – REMOVER!

Sodium Hypochlorite Patio Cleaners are used for more stubborn stains as you need the EXTRA strength solution, which is stronger than standard solutions and may be diluted with up to 6 parts water and 1 part Sodium Hypochlorite High Strength.

Applied as a moss, algae, lichen, weed and mould remover, this solution starts showing results within minutes of being left on the surface. It takes the effort out of cleaning your drive, block paving, fences, walls, brickwork, stonework, paths, patio decking, gravelled areas and even roofs.

Use neat to shift old and stubborn growth, or dilute it for routine maintenance. Even diluted, Sodium Hypochlorite still outperforms the rest* and can treat up to 10m² per litre. Give the outside of your home a Spring refresh that turns heads on the street.

Important Notes:

– This product is not for use on lawns, flowerbeds, vegetable plots or around trees and shrubs.

– Keep people and pets away from the treated area for 2 days.

In general the following precautions should be taken:

  • When using chemicals, protective clothing such as gloves, goggles, boots and overalls should be worn.
  • Adequate ventilation is required when using chemicals in confined spaces.
  • When using flammable materials; cigarettes, naked flames and other sources of ignition should be carefully controlled.
  • When diluting acids, always add acid to water and not water to acid.
  • Any clothing that is contaminated with chemicals should be disposed of safely.
  • When using any chemicals, care must be taken not to damage, contaminate or stain any adjoining materials, landscaping or finishes.
  • Care must be taken to protect personnel operating in the area of the cleaning from any injury or hazard created by the cleaning. The appropriate First Aid must be available.
  • Before undertaking any cleaning operation, a trial should be carried out on a small, preferably inconspicuous area, to determine the effect of the chemicals before treating a large area.
TYPES OF ORGANIC GROWTH ON SHADED AREAS
  1. Algae – appears as a green film or powdery coating on paving stones and stonework.
  2. Lichen – often grows on timber structures and paving stones, ranging in colour from orange to silver with a scruffy appearance.
  3. Moss – turns up on all kinds of surfaces and can form very dense clumps of growth.

To treat these, apply the solution and let it work. A maximum 50% solution is usually more than enough to deal with this kind of growth.

Weed Control using Sodium Hypochlorite Patio Cleaner

There’s no truly weed-free surface: once organic material starts building up, it’s only a matter of time before weeds and other plants take hold. On paving, weeds typically establish themselves in the sand joints, using the sand as their base. When you’re using sodium hypochlorite for weed control, give those joints extra attention for the best result. It’s one of the most effective patio cleaners around because, alongside cleaning, it also controls weeds and slows re-growth for weeks or even months afterwards.

Guidance for using Sodium Hypochlorite – Pool Chlorine

Sodium Hypochlorite High Strength is used for the routine control of bacteria and algae in swimming pools. For effective treatment ensure that the chlorine levels of the water are a level of 2-3mg/l (ppm). The levels must be maintained above 1.5mg/l (ppm) as a minimum. Once the chlorine has been applied the pH of the water must be adjusted to between 7.2 and 7.6 before use. We recommend these levels are routinely checked by using a pool water testing kit. When applying the Chlorine add at the point of best mixing, i.e. the water inlets and leave the filter running to ensure even distribution. All personal protective equipment must be used when handling this product.

Black Spot RemoverI have purchased from ProKleen before and found the product very satisfactory. This was my first experience with Black Spot Remover and again my results were satisfactory. The product was sprayed with a ProKleen spray and left the recommended amount of time.I cleaned it with a patio cleaner attachment, on a pressure washer and very little scrubbing was required. However, the amount of soapy type of suds concerned me at first. It is not clear if the substance has lost its strength at this point.Keep this away from all clothing etc. My wife and I ruined 2 pairs of jeans when spraying even with protective clothing..

Calgon keeps the washing machine free of limescale and keeps it functioning perfectly. Good value for money

  184. dahlim01 (verified owner) –

For me the downside is that when washing on low temperatures the blue solid ball in the centre of the tablet does not dissolve completely and on occasions has left a blue stain particularly on white garments. However I have resolved this problem by dissolving the tablet in hot water, leaving it overnight and pouring it in the soap dispenser with detergent.

  211. weemagsman (verified owner) –

First time I have used these and I live in a hard water area which can be a nightmare for all things using water. I find it has been really good at keeping bad odours away in the drum that I usually get when I use high temperatures to wash.

Did an excellent job where it touched. Started applying using a watering can but quickly realised it wasnt going to cover area, so moved to spreading with a brush. As a result the finish was a bit blotchy but that was my fault for spreading too liberally at the start of the job.

  215. Aseret (verified owner) –

Does the job, great for roofdriveway clean, essential to wear protective gloves, goggles and face mask though.

Calgon Limescale prevention tablets small pack of 15 pieces.Calgon has 3 neutralising actions1. Unbeatable limescale protection to prevent machine breakdown2. Antidirt action to avoid residue accumulation3. New antiodour actives the fight malodourI was using one tab in each washing. After few washing the clothes feels much more soft when unloading the washing machine and as well after drying. Brilliant. It made a superb job of my sand stone patio. Looks like new again .

  228. Angela Philpott (verified owner) –

Easy to use Just add one to your machine drawer and the job is done I have noticed my laundry smells fresher and feels softer but I wonder if they would have worked better when the stuff was new, as the towels were already a bit hard even with fabric softener when I first tried these tablets. When I buy more linens, I will know better. Theory has it that less soap and fabric conditioner is needed if the water is softer so the Calgon is a worthwhile spend

Been struggling to get algae and black spot off my drive for years. Tried all sorts of pressure washers and commercial drivepatio cleaners. Saw this stuff on YouTube and gave it a go. So glad I did. Have had to use a very strong solution 5050on some stubborn areas but its working. Drive and patio coming up a treat.

  354. Sharon T (verified owner) –

Excellent for general cleaning but requires multiple applications to remove black spots. Some stubborn black spots it wont remove. However, will keep trying unless I find a better product.

  356. Reviewed by Aquacadabra customer (verified owner) –

Amazing product Tried many other brands from cheap patio cleaners from local supermarkets and DIY stores to highend expensive brands but this product beats them all hands down Fantastic value for money, goes a long way and so easy to apply. We applied it to our Indian stone patio slabs using a 7 litre garden sprayer having pressure washed the worst off. You could see it working immediately. We left it on for the suggested time and then pressure washed it again but only lightly. We then spot treated again any stubborn areas. We have since done more patio areas and even left it on overnight with no issues. The photos show the slabs at the start, one heavily stained slab and then the last photo shows the end result the back section with nothing done to it, the right hand section just pressure washed and the front section treated. We are relaying all patio areas and cleaning them before we lift them. We will then be using it regularly to avoid having to pressure wash them so hard and the damage that can do to the jointing.

  360. Vivi L. (verified owner) –

First time Ive ever used Calgon and I must say Im impressed . Even though we cant really see whats going on behind everything I can already notice the clothes looking cleaner, the drum itself always had a smell that made the clothes smell dirty even after a wash that Id end up washing twice. The machine doesnt have any smell and the clothes are actually smelling nice of the detergent Ive used which is awesomeThis has to be my 4th machine and I can say now Ill definitely be getting calgon again and again to keep my washer healthy and to make this one last
