Meet Deep Blue Summer Algicide, built to keep your pool free of algae right through the summer. This slow-release algaecide is highly effective, giving outstanding control over algae growth from a single 1-litre dose. Put an end to constant algae battles and enjoy crystal-clear water for 3 to 6 months in a 14,500L pool.
Made for easy use, Deep Blue Summer Algicide takes the effort out of pool care, giving long-lasting algae protection when used as directed. Keep your pool at its best by sticking to the pH sensitive guidance, keeping the water within the optimal 7.2 to 7.6 range. For the best results, avoid adding chlorine within 24 hours before or after treatment to keep it working effectively.
Whether your pool is chlorinated or brominated, tiled or lined, Deep Blue Summer Algicide suits a wide range of pool types, giving owners flexibility and convenience. Note, however, that it should not be used in pools treated with Revacil/Baquacil, to keep compatibility and effectiveness intact.
For the best results, follow these easy steps when using Deep Blue Summer Algicide:
- Bring your pool’s pH into the recommended 7.2-7.6 range to create the right conditions for it to work effectively.
- Pour the specified amount directly over the water inlets so it can spread evenly through the pool, keeping the filter system running for thorough distribution.
- Keep an eye on the Total Copper residual using a copper Pooltester, checking monthly and adding a repeat dose if the residual drops below 0.4mg/l to maintain effective algae control.
With Deep Blue Summer Algicide taking care of algae, you can enjoy a summer of fun and relaxation without worrying about your pool. Benefit from clean, algae-free water that leaves you more time to sit back and enjoy a refreshing swim. Choose Deep Blue Summer Algicide and see the difference it makes in keeping your pool pristine and inviting all summer long.

Mr Ella H. Roberts (verified owner) –
Really good. Simple to use and it does exactly what I wanted, so I’m very pleased with it.
Millie Fraser (verified owner) –
Elegant shade rendering and a scale in steps of 0.2, and I very like being able to check the phosphate level two or three times a week so I can top it back up and keep the nitrates where I want them. The colours are far better than the other phosphate test I own. I tested both at the same time and the other one was less accurate, with a scale spread too widely in steps of 0.5 ppm. The set includes a little spoon for the powder, but remember to use the smaller end for scooping. The glass containers are the same quality as the other kit, but the caps are far better because there is no aluminium backed paper that peels apart, just a fairly firm foam insert that does not come apart in the stopper. I am not sure it shows in the photos, but with the naked eye the difference is obvious.
Millie Haque –
A good item at a good price, straightforward to use and it does just what I need.
Gemma O. Richards –
Very straightforward to use, with excellent instructions and easy to read guidance on the acceptable range of results. All that I could have hoped for.

Lily Sharma –
A solid purchase, although slightly clearer instructions would help. It works fine and there is a sudden colour change, but as a first time user it would have been helpful if the instructions had said that the change was from pink to blue. The first couple of drops took it from clear to pink, which is also a colour change but not the one I was looking for.
Mrs Dylan Harper –
Really impressed, they are reliable and the performance is first rate. I would happily buy them a second time.
Miss Andrew Walker –
Easy to understand and easy to use, with a result that is clear to read off. I would highly recommend them.

I got this to try in my hot tub. It is intended for swimming pools so the instructions are for very large amounts of water. However, I just put a very small amount into my hot tub which was starting to go a bit green in the bottom and a couple of days later the green has gone and the water is clear. Seems to work well and reduces the time I need between refills. This 2litre bottle will last me ages. Good value from that respect.

My fountain water was turning green very quickly especially in this warm weather so this product seems to offer a solution. I only put a couple of capfuls in the fountain which does hold quite a lot of water and the result was impressive, the water over a couple of days has become clear and although some of the stuck on green is still in the bowl where the fall of water has been hitting it it has cleared. I will when things have cooled off give the bowls a scrub out to remove the stuck on algae then start afresh which should mean everything stays clear. The 2 litre bottle will last ages as only a small amount is required. I cannot detect any smell from the treatment and it is non toxic to non aquatic life which is good as I think there are a couple of pigeons that treat the fountain as their personal spa tub! I think it will probably need a top up every couple of weeks to maintain its effectiveness.

Easy to use and excellent value. I cannot do without these with a hot tub, and I prefer to buy them direct so I know they are genuine.
Declan D. Walker –
Decent value. With the cost of the reagents I was using going up, I tried this kit instead, and it is much easier to test with as there is no powder to deal with. I tested on three separate occasions and both kits came close to the same results, though the older one gave a slightly more definite answer. It comes down to how hard you chase numbers, and in my opinion this one is better value for the money.

Neel Hall (verified owner) –
I have used this with my pool for a while now and it does make a difference. I will definitely use it a second time and would highly recommend it.
Ms Adeel Thomas –
Very well pleased overall, although I do think the algae treatment is struggling to clear my algae because of the genuinely prolonged hot weather, which keeps the water too warm.

A quick and effective in store purchase. Mrs Elliot Reilly-James –
It cost a little more than the other big online seller, however I needed this quicker than they could manage. I need it for measuring the dilution of the bleach I have been using for cleaning. I use one solution for everyday food service level sanitation, and another stronger one for cleaning the bathroom and toilet at home. It does the job.
Mrs K. M. Byrne –

For getting a ballpark figure it is very great value for money, and it is speedy and simple to use.
Dr Henry K. Williams (verified owner) –
Fairly very easy to use and consistent. It is similar to the other tests in the range, but I usually double up on the reagent and the test sample to get a more discernible result, especially when testing phosphates at the lower end of the scale. The only thing better and more reliable would be an electronic phosphate meter, but that costs a fair bit more.
Jordan Walsh-White –
These work well and are nice and very easy to use, a quick and simple way to check the water.
Francesca F. Patel (verified owner) –
Perfect for the job. I have tried cheaper ones but they were not as consistent as these. It is just costly when a tube only lasts a month. Happy enough with it.

Happy with the product, and it was exactly as expected. Would order again without hesitation.
Declan Hawkins (verified owner) –
I closed my pool down in October of last year adding this in the hope that it would hold the algae back as much as possible. I didn’t expect these results! 8 months later we took the covers off today and this was the result. I’m so impressed with this product and it’s made our lives so much easier. I bought it for winter closure so looking forward to the summer results. Great product and highly recommend.
Leo Brennan (verified owner) –
They are what they are, they do the job well enough and are easy enough to use. No complaints so far.
Amelia Henderson (verified owner) –
I didn’t realise that chlorination wasn’t enough to keep algae at bay. I didn’t need this quantity of algaecide for our pool size but it’s far more economical to buy this way so will be using this for the next 5 years or so.
Which is fine because it seems very effective. First use it cleared the a slight algal bloom that had appeared quickly, the dead algae clumped into small particles which the filer removed with no problem – not a sight of algae since.
Mr Damian Clarke (verified owner) –
I have had nothing but support and professionalism throughout my purchase, from the original order through to buying accessories. I asked for advice and guidance on winter maintenance and this was provided promptly. I am honestly happy with the overall customer service.
