Worked well in a fairly large paddling pool. The lid came of the floater and the tablets escaped and bleached the pool liner where they sat at the bottom. did not bother me for a cheep pool, but I would be annoyed if it was in an expensive item.

It comes with basic instructions about chlorination and pH etc and has testing strips but it’s not clear and despite being scientifically qualified I still don’t know what it means. Also it’s supposed to go through one tablet every few days, but it’s hardly dissolved any in over a week and yet the chlorine level is slightly high

very good product,I will definitely buy this again.

  78. Sandy –

Thought I would buy the best way tablets because I thought they would be perfect with them being their make, how wrong was I. The Chlorine level is between 5 and 10 when should around 1 to 3. The alkalinity is 0 when should be between 80 and 120. The PH is 6.2 when should be between 7.2 to 7.8. I previously bought some other make and they were better just did not dissolve fully.ni will not buy abestway tablets again

  79. Midlands Mimi (verified owner) –

    Keeps my tub clean

  80. C.campbell –

Great little tablets to help keep your spa clean. I kind of “shook” the spa by putting 3 in the floater, mmm a little too much me thinks – the red eyes gave it away! So reducing down to 1 tablet seems to suffice at the moment.

  81. Moreno (verified owner) –

    Ottimo prodotto

  82. Christopher Pettet –

    Chlorine Dispenser

  83. Mr. C. W. Bridge –

great little kit for the kids inflatable pool – thus …

  119. Vivien Beckett (verified owner) –

I bought this to try and and offset the fact that my two kids seem to get a kick out of taking it in turns to wee in the paddling pool. Works well in that regard, although even a good handful of tablets didn’t do anything for the floater they sent my way yesterday…

This did the job perfectly and kept my 8ft pool clear all summer. I simply added 3 tablets every 7-10 days and let it do its work. I removed the dispenser an hour prior to the children entering the pool and placed it back in at the end of play and prior to putting the cover on.

  183. AlFag (verified owner) –

Does it’s job. Packaging could be better. On opening there was some powder residue which flew around and before I knew it had got on my favourite black top which now has bleach marks. Despite trying to dye my top to hide marks and even trying to buy another one the same I have been unlucky. SO BE AWARE WHAT YOU WEAR WHEN OPENING THE PACKAGE!! Especially the first time BEFORE you get to the earning INSIDE about bleach. GOOD luck

  198. lynne simon (verified owner) –

    Waste of.money

  199. Alex De Nando –

The dispenser is fine but the picture shows a tub of 50 test strips. What you actually get is a little silver foil pack of 10. The only reason I bought this was because of the test strips as we were running out. The item is available on here with double the chlorine tablets for the same price without the test strips from alternative sellers so shop around!

  200. Simon Powner (verified owner) –

To save a load of money, I put 2 Jacuzzi size Chlorine tablets in this old toilet dispenser, and they last for weeks helping to keep the bowl clean. A tub of 50 tablets costs a fraction of the price for the normal cleaner tabs.VERY IMPORTANT: Don’t do this if you have pets or children. Do not put them into the cistern as this may damage the rubber parts and seals.

    I love them

  220. Shreeya (verified owner) –

Very pleased to find these and got them on the basis of the other recommendations and reviews for a large (8X4) paddling pool. Two tablets on the smallest aperture easily lasted for two weeks in the summer. imagine if I’d gone to some specialist pool supplier! I’d come out with some hugely expensive filter or a giant box of tabs and pay over the odds as well. Well done DeepBlue!

I usually buy a named brand, and being new to pool ownership I was reticent to change brand, however the other reviews of this product and the fact that i had used the same suppliers shock granules gave me the confidence to try these. Although these are probably 99.9% the same as the more expensive versions available I think these are slightly better (although that might just be the smugness talking as these saved me quite a lot of money). Highly Recommended.

Very good little device. Good value for money. Prompt delivery.Chlorine tablets on their own will not stop the water turning green. You need to use an algaecide as well. Test weekly the PH of your water by using a test strip. Once the PH is within the acceptable limits, add the recommended amount of algaecide for the volume of water in your pool.I use two chlorine tablets per week with the little ‘slot’ on the tablet holder set at ‘half open’. I dose the pool with the recommended amount of algaecide once per week. Before using the pool I close the ‘slot’ on the little tablet holder and open it halfway again when finished. My filter is left running 24/7. My pool is 13 ft diameter. A ‘once weekly’ check is all that is required to keep your pool water in good order. After about 3 months or so I empty around one third of the pool water and top up again and then test and correct the PH of the water and start the weekly cycle again. I have found by doing this the water stays clear and balanced. I have been using this method successfully for around 10 years now.

I brought these Chlorine tablets for my Canadian Spa. I normally use the liquid. But I ran out of it so I brought this instead. You need to put the tablet(s) in a floater otherwise they sink to the bottom. And is way to contrated. If you buy these for your Spa/ Hot Tub buy a floater just beware if you have young children these might not be suitable as children can always touch or play with the floater. I highly recommend you getting the Chlorine liquid. If you want to be sure your Spa/ Hot Tub is safe to use within a hour.

Word of advice…dont smell them when you open the tub or breathe in near them unless you like coughing with a burning sensation up your nose! P.S. I told you…. you cant esist… dont smell them!

  523. Renate Spickenreuther –

At last, after years of trying many different tablets, granules and liquids, I have found a product which actually does clear the (green) water in my 12′ pool, and keeps it clear – and doesn’t leave any gunk at the bottom! I don’t use a pump, but just swirling the water round for a few minutes once or twice was enough. All of these things are (relatively) expensive, but the others I’ve tried have been a real waste of money and, in fact, these are lasting longer than they advise they will, so work out cheaper than most. I would highly recommend these tablets, and will not be wasting my money on anything else from now on.

Hot tub chlorination. Item a safe described.

  537. Witson –

I’ve tried a few tubs of these but I haven’t had any luck with them. They just don’t seem to have any effect on my chlorine levels (which are non-existent) despite filling the dispenser on my filter cartridge. I’ve had to drain the pool several times now due to poor water quality and this just didn’t happen with my previous brand of chlorine tablets. I am using this with a 12ft x 8ft hyrdropool, set at about 36deg in a very hard water area. Maybe one or all of these points is a factor in their performance.

  566. Darren Peters (verified owner) –

Last year got our 10ft pool with whole load of chemicals. Increase ph, decrease ph, chlorine etc… Still went green. Added this to the pool this year and so much easier! Chlorine levels seem to stabilise and other than algacide once in a while we’ve not had any issues. Admittedly, did change filter once more than last year, but I’d say we’ve left it pretty much to its own devices and it’s been fine. Emptied last week (for winter) and still crystal clear! Last year and this pool left for a week and turned green last year, stayed clear this year.Definitely recommend and will get tablets again for next year.

I had great hopes that this would deliver the required amount of chlorine to my pool as it says the tablets dissolve over 3-5 days. But they don’t. It can take 3 weeks so I have had to keep topping up the chlorine using liquid. It seems like a good idea but just doesn’t work properly.

Put your tablets in your dispenser and forget about it ! I’ve found that these tablet maintain our chlorine levels effortlessly . We use our spa every day and now only need to check the levels once a week. Each tablet last about 3 -4 days so this pack will give me over a month of sanitation.

  771. Alan Coe –

The floater is great, nothing to say about that. The price is also very attractive for including the chlorine tablets, floater and testing strips. My only disappointment was the testing strips and instructions. I had high levels of pH and Alkalinity after testing the water and hey don’t tell you what to do in the instructions in that scenario.I had to do some research online as I’m very new to pool care and concluded that I had to buy more chemicals to reduce those levels. I got an Alkalinity and pH reducer online and it seems to have helped since. But it would have been nice to have more guidance in the instructions. The tests do not provide exact readings as well, but for the price I guess it’s ok.Still a good kit, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

  778. dawnl (verified owner) –

These tablets were very poorly packaged and the tub not sealed properly so I couldn’t say for sure if they are the real deal. All I know is I could smell the tablets before I even opened the flimsy packaging and when I opened the lid of the tub the smell was so strong I gagged. Very different to the products I usually use that hardly has an odour at all! I am disappointed because I bought this reasonably priced product because of all the good reviews. Unfortunately I have requested a refund.

We managed to keep the pool warm enough for a few weeks then the British weather defeated us!! Took a while to get used to how much Chlorine to put in, but that’s only because we are complete novices to a “swimming” pool!!

  783. C. Johnson (verified owner) –

Easy to use. And reassuring to have test strips.

  786. G. Jones –

OK and do seem to keep the hot tub clear but quite a few have refused to dissolve so you go to your tub after a few days to find it murky with undissolved tablets in the dispenser.

  787. Fernando Gmez –

Very disappointed. Item not DeepBlue brand as stated in description. Have no idea if these are the same as the 4 function tablets I thought I was buying since there is no information to this effect on the label.

Only slight complaint is that the pH papers are not that effective/reliable, but if you put in a new tablet every week or so (or sooner if the water starts to discolour) then it’s not really critical to gauge pH strength anyway.

A few years ago i invested in the complete kit, which required a lot of effort to get the alkaline, chlorine, and bromine levels correct. These tabs work wonders, put inside a suitable container and change every 2-3 days. I’ve also invested in a net and PH strips. After three weeks the water looks and smells clean. Perfect !

Not as easy as I had hoped.I had got in the habit of adjusting chlorine granules according to the usage and could usually guess when I got out how much to add so that my hot tub was ready the next day again. I still checked the levels everyday but rarely had to alter much. These are supposed to do everything – chlorinate, clarify, stabilise and have an inbuilt pH plus. Just stick one tablet in a floater and away you go.And it keeps my hot tub levels OK. But its not a set and forget.I have the official bestway floater and even on the most closed aperture it tends to over clorinate and I have to take it out occasionally.I have also had two instances of the water going cloudy after about 2 weeks, requiring a refill, which makes me think the clarifying part isn’t great.Overall, I think I’ll stick to granules next time.

  917. Say it as it is (verified owner) –

These are good tablets but be careful as I have a 3800L pool (10ft) and I used 3 which sent the chlorine level off the scale! Really one per day ince you have fully shocked and treated the pool is enough. It’s stabilised so will be better than the unstabilised chlorine initial shock dose at stopping the chlorine levels being burned off in the elements. Now I have the hang of it al I have bought large qtys of the powder form so I can save money as the tablets are expensive long term.

  978. Cheshire Cat (verified owner) –

This is the first time that I have used pool chemicals and I must say that this device appears to work. I still had to add a healthy dose of chlorine granules (dissolved in a bucket 1st) to the pool after we came back from holiday as mosquito larvae were having a field day .. they didn’t last too long though. My understanding is that this just maintains the chlorine strength.

  979. Irene Parry –

Does what it says although the little litmus test strips are useless. I had the same reading before I put the tablets in as after they’d been in the pool for about 3 weeks. Maybe the tablets are rubbish after all!!

This is by far the best floating dispenser that we have ever used. (Had about four others) They all either discolour and go brittle or the lock tabs for the cap break. These do the job and stay looking clean and fresh. We even use one for dispensing the aromatherapy beads.

These are great multifunction tablets. I use them for my hotub. Took a while to work out the correct amount to use but getting a pretty much accurate ph everytime i test the water.

  1037. elisa day –

They are rather large tablets so too big for my floater. I’ve used a small net washing bag with zip on and to hold it in place near to filter outlet. Tablet lasts for ages 4 to 6 weeks in 12ft pool. Water still clear even though filture pump has been off now for 2 weeks

  1038. A.Palmer –

Our pool has no pump so I was worried about the quality of water so hence why I went for this. It is easy to use and this product gives you the piece of mind that the pool is OK. I have found that with a pool with no pump it is necessary to circulate the water by moving it with you hand so that you get an accurate reading on the ph strips. Thanks am still using and pool is looking good.

  1054. Xue Fulin –

Really easy to use. We put 2 tablets in dispenser, for our 10 foot pool. Works really well. Will continue to use 2 tablets per week as pool is left filled.

Products lasts a good period of time and is easy to use. We place these into the filter but you can buy a floating holder.Added edit: After many months using these products, consider also buying a decent algaecide to compliment this product.!

  1091. chippie (verified owner) –

I received this product ahead of the scheduled delivery day which I was very happy about. However before purchasing these you should read the description and not rely on the photo as you will only be supplied 10 test strips not the 50 pictured. I contacted the seller about this but they failed to acknowledge that it was wrong to list this product with the wrong photo.I can’t yet comment on how well it works but my hope is it will maintain the chlorine levels in my hot tub better. The actual dispenser and tablets seem fine, I have set it up on a low setting and will monitor the water balance.I would rate this higher but I hate false advertisement.

1092. matthew winch (verified owner) –

Easy to use, glad I got them. Just put 1 or 2 tablets in the dispencer and recheck them a week later.in the mean time use the strips to check your water ph is where it should be.

  1093. alexandervalchev –

    Liked ease of use

1094. alain couvrette (verified owner) –

I prefer these multifunction tablets to standard chlorine tablets, saves having to dose separately with algaecide and the built it clarifier definitely seems to make the water clearer. Does seem to need more tablets though to keep the chlorine at the correct level, 2 or 3 for our inflatable hot tub at least.

  1095. Graham Smit –

Not used yet,but they are the same chlorine tablets sold for use with inflatable hot tubs. Had bromine tablets last year but found they didn’t keep the water as fresh as chlorine.

1096. Mrs. June Wakefield (verified owner) –

they do take a while to dissolve though

  1099. mame toure –

Trying to refill the 10ft Intex Pool less this year, so making sure we use these alongside the testing strips is vital. We use these 2 at a time in the pool, and it seems to be working well. I was told that the multi-function properties of these tablets are what I needed. I’ll buy again.

  1100. Avram Dragomir –

Brilliant just was what hot tub needed

  1101. Robert green –

Quick delivery. effective product for our 10 foot summer pool.

1102. Clifford Craig (verified owner) –

I have been using these for the past couple of years in my hot tub. But I’m not so fond of the new blue design.I don’t know why, but the blue seems to come off in non disolvable grit and either sits on the bottom of the spa making it feel sandy. Or some have got through the filter and have started blocking my inlet jet. So I have to regularly back flush the system. But otherwise they maintain a lovely clear and clean water easily.

  1103. Vnn (verified owner) –

Excellent service, and easy to use with floating applicator.

  1123. Kingswater –

Will not use anything else now I have tried these, hot tub water is crystal clear and have only needed to add a little PH increaser once a week due to living a soft water area. Each tablet last approx. 5 days in my 1000L hot tub. Set dispenser to lowest setting and the chlorine level is maintained with no problems. As per a previous review and instructions on item, just ensure chlorine levels are correct before using otherwise you may need to wait awhile for the tablet to dissolve and chlorine level to rise.

Perfect for my lazyspa hot tub, just pop a few in a floating dispenser and they keep the water clean

  1247. KeinLieber –

These are good tablets but be careful as I have a 3800L pool (10ft) and I used 3 which sent the chlorine level off the scale! Really one per day ince you have fully shocked and treated the pool is enough. Its stabilised so will be better than the unstabilised chlorine initial shock dose at stopping the chlorine levels being burned off in the elements. Now I have the hang of it al I have bought large qtys of the powder form so I can save money as the tablets are expensive long term.

  1248. lauren urso –

We had a quiet deep pool this year, as we just change it we was looking for multifunctional tablets that will keep our water clear without changing it at least 3-4 time writhing summer. And those once hit the spot. Our pool stayed clean and the water stayed clear for whole summer. We were using about 3 tablets a week, well worth our money ! Will definitely order some more 🙂

These tablets aren’t that good for inflatable spas as they don’t completely dissolve in the water, even using the dispenser. this results in lot of bits at the bottom of your hot-tub which also blocks the inlet valve for the filter which causes the pump to stall so beware

1266. Nick Scheblus (verified owner) –

Arrived promptly. Bought this item for a water feature made of Indian stone, have worked very well in removing green slime and the water is very clear now.

  1267. Yoda (verified owner) –

This has been working well for us in our 3m by 2m pool. I put 2 tablets in at a time and let it float about when no one is in the pool. One note is that when the tablets dissolve down really small they can fall out of the holes in the base, this has left a small white patch on out pool.

  1268. Carla V. –

Was ok, done what it said on the box.

These are little to no instructions so you must do your research before you buy. The dispenser however does the job. I don’t know about the accuracy as I have currently not tested with an alternative.

This is a great buy – I foolishly bought the cheap small tablets – too small and used 3+ at a time and they didn’t last a day with this hot summer – should have bought these straight off – one big tablet lasts days. MUCH better value.

  1358. Mike Johnston –

Just purchased a hot tub. Never had one before. The tablets were blue. Is this correct or should they be white. The tablets don’t dissolve. I’ve only used one at a time but the chlorine level is low. Should I be using more than 1 tablets. Only had the hot tub 1 week, used 4x. When the jets on there is lots of foam, don’t know why? I thought I just put one tablet in the dispenser and left but the chemical levels are not correct and I’m worried about the foaming. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
