Description

Sold here as the 10Kg size.

Widely relied on to keep hot tub and swimming pool water safe and free of bacteria, these chlorine tablets are stabilised against chlorine loss from sunlight and release their chlorine gradually over 2-4 days, depending on how much water flows past them.nnnnUse them in floating dispensers, chemical feeders or skimmer baskets, whichever suits your setup.nnnnDose regularly to keep free chlorine at the recommended 3-5 mg/l (ppm) in hot tubs or 1-3 mg/l (ppm) in swimming pools. Slow release and long lasting, these tablets have as little effect on water pH as you’ll find in a stabilised chlorine tablet.nnnnKey FeaturesnnnnIt’s best to keep a free chlorine range of 3 – 5mg/l for hot tubs and 1-3mg/l for swimming pools. These stabilised tablets are well suited to regular dosing of your hot tub or swimming pool, generating free active chlorine that kills bacteria and other potentially harmful organisms, with a high level of both available chlorine and chlorine stabiliser.nnnnApplication Instructionsnnnn1. Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. If outside this range please use our PH plus or PH minus products to adjust for the best results.nnnn2. Maintain free chlorine residuals for hot tubs between 3-5mg/l and for swimming pools between 1 – 3mg/l (ppm). Freshly filled hot tubs require an initial shock or start up dose of chlorine: 50mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours.nnnn3. For floating dispenser: Fill the floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 3-5mg/l (ppm) desired range. Alternatively keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve 3-5mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the hot tub whilst bathing.nnnn4. For chlorine feeders: Fill the dispenser and follow feeder instruction manuals on flow regulation to maintain required chlorine levels.nnnn5. For skimmer baskets: Fill the basket with sufficient tablets and monitor levels to maintain required chlorine levels.nnnn6. It is recommended that you periodically (e.g. fortnightly or after heavy use) shock dose your pool to eliminate any excess contamination.nnnnNote: If using in skimmer baskets we would suggest you run the pump often to prevent a build up of chlorine. Please ensure children to not have access to the skimmer as this could be dangerous.nnnnDose Rates (subject to water flow rate and temperature)nnnnMedium hot tub 1,000 litre (220 Gallons) of water requires approx 1 tablet to increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm) or 3 tablets to increase chlorine level by 3mg/l(ppm)nnnnLarge hot tub 1,500 litre (330 Gallons) of water requires approx 2 tablets to increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm) or 6 tablets to increase chlorine level by 3mg/l(ppm)nnnnSwimming pools add 1 tablet per 4,500 litres (1000 Gallons) of water and monitor levels.

I received this product ahead of the scheduled delivery day which I was very happy about. However before purchasing these you should read the description and not rely on the photo as you will only be supplied 10 test strips not the 50 pictured. I contacted the seller about this but they failed to acknowledge that it was wrong to list this product with the wrong photo.I cant yet comment on how well it works but my hope is it will maintain the chlorine levels in my hot tub better. The actual dispenser and tablets seem fine, I have set it up on a low setting and will monitor the water balance.I would rate this higher but I hate false advertisement.

One tablet is very large.. I just left it at the bottom of my garden swimming pool.. these took a good week to dissolve. I also broke one up to put into a float to dissolve the Chlorine into the pool.

  205. Mrs Ruby G. Gill –

Glad I chose this as its really easy to maintain levels of chlorine in the pool. It has 3 slit openings so you can adjust the dosage. Now its warm and being used daily it needs to be open 3 slits and tablets going down quicker but levels never drop. Fab Def recommend for beginner pool tester like me.

  220. Sarah R. Iqbal –

Not much to say other than they do a small they say on the tub. Must be genuine as I have a very poor sense of smell and these knocked me back when I opened the can Floating dispenser works well, we only out in one tablet at a time which lasts about a week.

  221. Cian Graham-Boyle (verified owner) –

It does the job of holding the tables and floating, all it is really is a floating Tupperware box with a hole in it D

  222. Mr Owen Thompson (verified owner) –

    easy and does the job,

  223. Yusuf E. Lloyd (verified owner) –

Tablets seem fine and price is good. However the floating dispenser was cheap quality plastic and the lid for the compartment which has the tablet would not unscrew off rendering it useless

  227. Charlotte Rahman (verified owner) –

The picture shows a float and the tub of tablets. I assumed the float would come with it when I purchased. Not the case unfortunately because no float came in the box. I rechecked the wording on the product writing and there was no mention of the float. Bit annoyed but I guess I should have read the information properly. They should take off the picture of the float because this is misleading

protects the pool perfectly one tablet lasts about a week and a bit inan 8ft round pool. Pool is covered the dispenser bobs around in the pool no green slime to be seen anywhere water looks and smells clean if the garden was big enough would just leave it there inserting tablets every other week until next summer but no can do summer is now over kids back to school weather going to change….sorry you got to go

  239. Jacob Pearson –

    It did the job well

  240. Ruby Y. Allen –

I bought this for my 8 foot pool in the summer. I got 10 tablets, the dispenser and some test stripes. The dispenser is really easy to use and can be adjusted depending on how much chlorine is needed in the pool. I changed the tablets roughly every 8 to 10 days by which time they had dissolved. Tablets and dispenser worked really well and kept my pool clean all summer My son used the pool all the time and said that he didnt realise that there was chlorine in the pool which was good. Only downside is the test stripes. I used them once and didnt like them so I threw them away.
