Deep Blue water testing products are made to a high standard and colour matched for accurate, consistent readings, with our strip range trusted by pool professionals, holiday let operators and keen home users the length of the UK.

Keep strips dry and capped between uses and store away from direct sunlight and heat.

How to Use

  1. Dip the strip into the water for 2 seconds and remove it.
  2. Do not shake off excess water. Hold the strip horizontally for 30 seconds.

  1. Miss Katherine Kaur –

An excellent starter kit for a new owner. The chlorine takes a little messing about with to work out the quantity to water ratio, as we needed less than the packaging indicated, so there was some trial and error to get the level correct. After the initial dose it has been very easy to check the levels with the strips and then top up. Spot on.

  2. Mrs Sukhwinder Kapoor (verified owner) –

A good set of strips that are very easy to use and quick to read, and I am very happy with them.

  3. Navya U. Akhtar (verified owner) –

Buy them from the official seller. They are as cheap as anywhere else and you know they are not fakes. There are loads of fakes on the marketplaces, so do beware.

  24. N. A. Harrison (verified owner) –

A great little kit and so very easy to use. Just dip it in and take it straight out, hold it level and colour match against the chart on the back of the tub. Then it is up to you to adjust the chemicals and dip again until the test matches the safe zones on the tub. Sorted.

  25. Mrs Amrit Z. Ross –

This larger set was a must have for me. I first bought the regular starter kit, then realised I needed something to get me through the rest of the season. The containers are a perfectly good size and were packaged very well, and I plan on keeping everything in good order through the summer and autumn.

Worth the price. It is accurate and very easy to use, and the result comes through quickly and clearly.

  33. Mr Meera Ali (verified owner) –

They are great for getting some quick and easy results, and I usually follow up any irregularities from the strip test with a liquid test. These seem quite accurate and the results usually agree with the liquid tests, apart from one of the readings, which always seems to come out a little higher. They are so very easy to use, just swirl the strip a couple of times and then read the results. Great for a quick weekly check.

A robust product with professional performance that works well even in tough conditions, and it is really good value for money.

  56. Aaron F. Gallagher –

It all comes in a very nice plastic container that you can keep everything in, and it looks a lot better quality than the last one I bought, which only lasted a couple of years before the colour faded. This one cost more, so I hope it lasts a perfectly good deal longer.

  57. Rosie Russell (verified owner) –

It does what a test kit should and it comes from a maker I trust, which is the perfect combination for me. Very pleased with the purchase.

  63. Mrs Z. H. Clarke –

They are really good, and it is an easy and quick way to find out what the water quality is like.

  64. Chloe Boyle (verified owner) –

We have an axolotl, so we have to check that everything is right and that nothing is in there to contaminate the tank or stress our little one out. It works, and it helps us keep the tank clean and keep him safe. Very pleased with the purchase.

  65. L. Harrison-Walsh –

A decent kit that does what it says on the tin. I’d have preferred the contents in a form that needed less measuring out, as working out the right amount takes a bit of effort, but overall the kit does what I want it to.

Really pleased with these. They are very easy to use, the result is clear and they arrived quickly, so I would happily buy them again.

  74. Dr W. C. Evans-Baker (verified owner) –

The colours bleed together too with no bother but overall it is adequate.

Testing peracetic acid levels in our hospital routine. The 0–1000 ppm range covers all needs. Accurate results in under a minute.

  81. Dr Mia Sinclair –

Good enough test strips. One of the colours is a bit confusing to match on the chart, but they seem to give a perfectly good reading.

Super quick delivery despite the lockdown, and the product I received was exactly as described in the listing.

  83. Eoin Green –

Very perfectly good. I have used a few different types and these strips seem to be far more accurate.

  84. Mrs Anthony B. Morgan (verified owner) –

These are the best tests I have used and at a brilliant price too, so I am very happy with the purchase.

  85. Q. Brown (verified owner) –

I would buy it again. Great product and it works exactly as described, straightforward to use and easy to read.

  86. Miss Gurpreet Fleming –

Just as advertised, they do the job and were easy enough to use. No complaints so far.

  92. Edward MacLeod (verified owner) –

So much better than the awful copies you find on the marketplace sites. Would buy again.

  93. Sameer Chapman (verified owner) –

Easy to use test strips, although they could do with more information on what corrective action might be needed. No complaints so far.

  94. Amina Begum –

Decent value. With the price of the reagents I was using going up, I tried the kit instead, and it is much easier to test with as there is no powder to deal with. I tested on three separate occasions and both kits came close to the same results, though the older one gave a slightly more definite answer. It comes down to how hard you chase numbers, and in my opinion this one is better value for money.

  95. Miss Oliver Harrison –

I like these test strips, they are quite perfectly good for easing your mind about the water results. Very happy, many thanks.

  96. I. B. Wright –

At first I thought it was a scam because the prices were so low, but after reading the reviews and seeing how long the shop has been going I wanted to give it a try. I had an email order confirmation and a dispatch confirmation, and it was all here within three days. Just fantastic. Very pleased with the purchase.

  98. X. U. Sinclair (verified owner) –

Very good for effectiveness and quality. It is very easy to use and works well, although once the time is up you need to read it straight away, because the colour carries on changing if you leave it. Good service from the seller too.

  99. Ava Campbell (verified owner) –

Test strips that work. Easy, accurate readings and they do exactly what is advertised.

  100. Arjun Bailey-James –

Overall I am pleased with my recent purchase. The staff, as always, were a pleasure to deal with and I was able to get the product I was after. I was going to pick up a few other bits at the same time but found them far too expensive, so I gave those a miss.

Exactly as advertised. Good value for money, a perfectly good quality product and it arrived fast.

  114. Dr Jaspreet Stewart –

It came in quickly and I did the test right away. It was easy and informative. With all the construction that goes on and the age of the pipes around here, it is brilliant to have these test strips to keep on top of our water. I have been affected by bad pipes in the past.

  115. Musa Taylor –

Strong, consistent quality and a little goes a long way, so the pack lasts far longer than I expected. Very pleased with the purchase.

  121. Peter Fraser-Sandhu –

These test strips are fairly accurate when testing the water. Occasionally one or more of the pads does not show a proper shade, which means using an extra strip. Otherwise, they work well.

I have used these test papers for years. They consistently work well and they are nice and simple to use.

  123. Toby Cunningham –

Very happy with my purchase. A brilliant product that is simple to use, and I will buy it again.

  124. Scott Iyer –

An easy and reliable test kit. It takes no time at all to run a test and the result is simple to read off.

  125. Dr Aaron Williams-Johnson –

A solid product with professional performance that does the job well, and really good value for money.

Came within a couple of days and it is simple enough to use, so on the whole it is worth the cost.

  129. Adrian W. White –

Fairly very easy to use and accurate. It is similar to the other tests in the range, but I usually double up on the reagent and the test sample to get a more discernible result, especially when testing phosphates at the lower end of the scale. The only thing better and more reliable would be an electronic phosphate meter, but that costs a fair bit more.

  130. Naveen A. Russell (verified owner) –

Does exactly what it says it will do, and I have had no issues at all with them. No complaints at all.

  134. Darren H. O’Brien –

Good sticks. I would recommend buying direct rather than from a marketplace seller, as the ones I got elsewhere were fakes and didn’t work.

  135. Mrs Kai Murray –

A really good choice, professional level performance with clear, accurate readings and reliable handling. I will order again.

  136. Finn O. Jackson –

Very perfectly good test strips. They are simple to dip and the colour change is easy to read.

I have used these for many years, they are very easy to use and accurate.

  156. Miss Jacob M. Scott-Roberts (verified owner) –

It seems straightforward, almost too easy to be real, but it does give you a quick reading without any fuss.

  157. Mrs Liam Hall –

A perfectly good test kit. I used it to monitor my saltwater cycle.

  158. Aaron K. Price –

Some of the colours are hard to tell apart, which can make it a bit imprecise. For a rough idea of where things are, it is perfectly good enough.

  159. Mr Skye Murray –

It is very easy to use and that is just what I needed to see the status of my water.

  160. Mr W. V. Hill –

A perfectly good test. Easy to use and the result is clear, so I am pleased with it.

  162. Chantelle Mason (verified owner) –

It works brilliant. This is ideal for measuring marine parameters and it is a very accurate test kit.

  169. Dr Q. Z. Siddiqui –

These strips are very simple to use and they keep me right on what the water needs. They are really good value when you buy them in bulk.

Very easy to use and the instructions were decent and clear, so I knew exactly what to do straight away.

  171. Aamir Khan –

They seem to work. Straightforward to use, dip for three seconds, hold it up for fifteen seconds and read the result. It does the job.

  172. Dr Daisy Siddiqui (verified owner) –

Easy to use and easy to read the answers, so you know everything is running safely.

Really impressed, they are reliable and the performance is really good. I would happily buy them again.

  177. Navya Gray-Doyle –

I read about this before buying and it is a new, reliable and easy testing method. I tried it on some pretty vintage plates I picked up second hand and two out of three tested positive for lead, so we will not be using them for food any more. The test is genuinely easy indeed, you put one drop of the liquid on the surface you want to test and then shine the included UV light on it, and if it goes green there is lead.

  178. Miss Joshua Harper (verified owner) –

Proved conclusively that ours is a hard water area, which is why the electric shower has been under-performing. No complaints so far.

  188. Mrs Emily Anderson (verified owner) –

You have to tap the water off quickly and lay it flat, otherwise the colours bleed, but other than that it is brilliant.

These do exactly what it says on the tin, simple to use and clearly readable to read, and I had the result in moments.

So easy to do all the tests in one go, and the results are clearly readable enough to read straight away.

Good stuff, it does exactly the job. It saves me taking a sample to the shop in town.

  193. Zara H. Sandhu (verified owner) –

The test kit is a reliable one, so do your research. Delivery was super fast and the seller helped me out because I needed it quickly. This seller provides really good service and support, and it is not my first time buying here. I have confidence in them after many interactions.

  206. Iain B. Price –

Easy to use and pretty accurate to the description, and the readings are based on where they should be, which is all listed on the box.

  207. Mrs Alice N. Jackson (verified owner) –

Excellent. This is the real product and not a fake, unlike some I have purchased from a marketplace seller in the past.

  208. Ms Amber F. Kapoor –

I would buy this product again. The ordering service and the delivery were surprisingly efficient and prompt, and the product works as presented, though it is somewhat difficult to read at lower concentrations. I expected that, as these are a low concentration version of strips that only measure at higher levels.

  209. Mrs Muhammad Smith (verified owner) –

They work well enough and are very simple to use, but they could be a little cheaper for the number of strips you get.

  210. J. Q. Howard (verified owner) –

  213. Cameron Mehta –

A top quality product, as is everything else I have purchased from this range.

  214. Dr Amrit Gill –

I have used the strips for years by using the dilution method, and they give a reasonable ballpark estimate of the concentration, though not quite to my satisfaction. It would be very useful if there were strips that could read stronger concentrations directly without having to resort to diluting the sample first.

  215. Mr Adrian Green-Ross –

A nice and easy way to test water hardness when installing a new softener. I was delighted to see that the softener has brought the hardness down to near zero.

This is my go to test kit now. It is accurate and very easy to use, and honestly it is the only testing kit you need. Get some yourself.

  219. Kieran U. Clark –

The result you get will not be one hundred per cent, but at least you have something that comes close, and it is much cheaper than the other liquid kits out there. Fine for what I need.

  220. Mr Louise U. O’Connor (verified owner) –

These strips are great, very easy to use and very accurate. Not one hundred per cent accurate, but accurate enough.

  221. Sam Cunningham (verified owner) –

I picked up these by mistake as I meant to get the ones for the digital reader, but I am glad I did because they measure additional levels too. They appear to give a true reading, which is remarkable for what they cost.

Very easy to use, with great instructions and clear guidance on the acceptable range of results. All that I could have hoped for.

  234. Mr Matilda Hawkins –

I have had nothing but support and professionalism throughout my purchase, from the original order through to buying accessories. I asked for advice and guidance on winter maintenance and this was provided promptly. I am very happy with the overall customer service.

  247. Hannah Kapoor (verified owner) –

A really good item for measuring the average strength of a chlorine dioxide mix. I recommend it one hundred per cent.

  248. Mr Paul P. Phillips –

An indispensable product. Chlorine dioxide is a wonderful disinfectant, but if you know the first thing about it you know that its concentration in solution wanes rather rapidly. I keep a little bottle useful, and the question is always how to know whether it needs replacing. These strips give you an instant answer.

  249. Sebastian Iqbal –

Just what I wanted, and perfectly good value compared with other places I have looked at. Easy to use and they arrived quickly.

  250. Mr E. C. McCarthy –

  272. Mr Rohan Hughes (verified owner) –

We use these to verify the PPM of our PAA in my brewery. This is an excellent quick quality management tool at a very cost efficient price. We are looking for a PPM between 80-100 when sanitation PAA batches are made.

  273. Rosie A. Siddiqui (verified owner) –

A really good purchase, the readings are clear and precise and it copes with even the most demanding tasks. I will reorder.

  274. Miss Elizabeth B. Ali-Boyle –

I could not get hold of this a few weeks ago so I bought another brand instead, and there is no comparison. This one is far superior to the other, which left the water very cloudy, so I am pleased to be able to get this one again. I would highly recommend it.

  275. Mrs Megan K. Ross (verified owner) –

It works well, but the colour of the reactive pad is slightly confusing to make out at times.

  276. Ms Katherine Jones (verified owner) –

An excellent product, so quick and very easy to use, and you know your water is safe.

  277. Brodie Boyle (verified owner) –

This has everything you need to start looking after the water. You use the test strips to check the levels and then add what is needed to bring them back to where they should be. In the long run I found a different routine easier, but this is a perfectly good way to start.

  278. Murdo Reed-Armstrong (verified owner) –

A perfectly good quality product and I would definitely recommend it, although it did arrive a bit late.

A really professional product. It feels well made, it is straightforward to use and the results are clear.

  285. Dr Naveen C. Hawkins –

Very happy overall, although I do think the algae treatment is struggling to clear my algae because of the very prolonged hot weather, which keeps the water too warm.

  286. Ms Joshua Cook –

A superb, genuine product, although the postage could be cheaper.

It does just what it says. Easy to use, and it comes with a chart so you can read off the result straight away.

Trusted and reliable. It gives me a clear phosphate reading every time and I have nothing to complain about at all about it.

  296. Dr A. Q. Foster –

Good to have for testing water from a RODI unit. I picked this up at my local shop as I needed something quickly to test the fresh water coming out of my unit. For a colour chart test it works pretty well and was near enough spot on with my digital tester, which read 0.101 while the kit read between 0.07 and 0.1. My only complaint is that the 15 ml syringe cracked the first time I tried to draw water in, as the plunger seems bigger than the tube. Thankfully I had others on hand so it was not a big deal, but it is something they could look into.

  297. Asha Chowdhury –

Although I have not used it yet, I have no doubt it will do the job for us, as we have purchased them before and they are very helpful to have.

  298. Miss Teddy Brar (verified owner) –

I would buy this product again and again. I use the strips to confirm that the chlorine dioxide concentration is correct for use on the farm.

  302. Mr Arjun Crawford (verified owner) –

Exactly what I needed, at a perfectly good price and with good shipping.

  303. Ms Khalid Banerjee –

The printed colours on the packaging are crucial with these strips, and here they were clear and very easy to use.

  304. Dr Owen Z. Mitchell –

An excellent product as always, very easy to use and it does exactly what I need it to do.

  305. Dr Sean Clarke-Campbell –

I have just started using this and it has already taken the greenish tinge out of the water. I am told regular use will save me having to empty and refill so often, which in this day and age will save me a fortune. No complaints at all.

  306. Angus Turner –

These work well. I love these strips, they are so very easy to use and I prefer them to the other makes I have tried.

  307. Hamza Palmer (verified owner) –

They do just what they are meant to do, and they were a really nice thing to receive as a gift. Easy to use as well.

A brilliant product. These are always my go to test strip and I never have an issue with them.

  310. Sarah Scott (verified owner) –

Top notch build quality with no faff to get started, and the readings were clear and consistent.

  311. Clare S. Spencer (verified owner) –

I would buy this a second time. It is rather expensive, and I had to warm the sample bottle up using warm water as the colour did not change to yellow until the third day.

  312. Mrs Ayaan Douglas (verified owner) –

The best service I have had, quick delivery and these strips work exactly as they should.

  313. Mr Jamie Bennett (verified owner) –

These test strips make it simple to measure peracetic acid levels across a useful 0–1000 ppm range. The color change is clear enough to read against the chart, and results come through quickly without complicated steps. Having 100 strips in the pack is practical for regular monitoring in food processing, agricultural, or water treatment settings.

They feel consistent from strip to strip and are easy to store and handle. A straightforward tool when you need reliable, on-the-spot readings without sending samples out.

Good everyday option for anyone who regularly tests for peracetic acid.

  314. Mrs S. P. Hussain (verified owner) –

This test is so straightforward and the results come through immediately. The problem I have is that my phosphates are very low, possibly zero, and when you are in the low range it is very difficult to read. I am debating whether to buy another, as I am almost out, and whether to send a sample away for professional testing so I can tell if I have any phosphates at all and then judge the readings on this test better. I am also wondering about a more expensive electronic checker, but I know I would not like the fiddly powder reagents. I only have about two tests left, so time matters and I need to know whether to keep dosing. I should have sent one off sooner, because I do like this test a lot.

  315. Helena Turner-Campbell –

So pleased with the strips, the quality feels professional and the results come up quickly. Highly recommend them.

  320. Murdo W. Fisher –

A really good seller and I am very pleased with my purchase. Everything arrived as described and the strips work well.

  321. Mrs I. King –

Does what it says on the tin and is very easy to use, with results that are clear to read.

  322. Miss Louie L. Haque (verified owner) –

Received the items in a timely manner, well packaged and exactly just as described. Very pleased.

  323. Mr J. U. Price (verified owner) –

It works, and this is the second tester of this type that I’ve bought. I go by the readings for chlorine and pH, the water stays clean and the measurements come out correct.

  324. Ella Murphy-Jackson (verified owner) –

It does just what it says on the tin, though the strips are a little too small.

  325. Mrs R. V. Hughes (verified owner) –

Good value for money, these strips are simple to use and give a clear result every time.

An accurate and easy phosphate test. Good packaging and very easy to use. The colour I estimated was between the 0.10 and 0.20 colours with nothing in between, so it seemed to measure 0.15. 524. Adeel H. Patel –

A quick and easy way to gauge a critical water quality condition. I love these test strips because they measure perhaps the most deadly element in the hobby in a simple way. My only criticism, and this is on me rather than on these strips or the shop, is that I find them harder to read now than I did ten years ago. With my eyesight, the subtle differences on the colour chart sometimes give me trouble, usually when trying to tell a straight zero from something around the halfway mark. I am confident that if there was a serious ammonia problem, and anything above zero needs attention, the colour would tell me, as the green gets more intense. Plenty of light and a white backdrop help with reading the results as well.

This is fantastic. I was pleased with the outcome so I will definitely be buying more.

  591. Ayaan Reilly –

A perfectly good kit, although I am still looking for one that is not too hard to read. My last one was clear for zero phosphate and sort of clear for some phosphate. This one is yellow, or yellower, at the low end, and higher readings do turn green, which is better than the others that just go a darker shade of blue as the level increases.

  652. Mr Priya Z. Green (verified owner) –

A perfectly good product, although slightly clearer instructions would help. It works fine and there is a sudden colour change, but as a first time user it would have been helpful if the instructions had said that the change was from pink to blue. The first couple of drops took it from clear to pink, which is also a colour change but not the one I was looking for.

  653. G. O. Akhtar-Johnson –

Good price. It was the same as buying online, so I picked it up in store instead. It does the job.

One of the better tests I’ve used, and the phone app works properly too. I would recommend them.

  660. Miss Harvey S. Singh (verified owner) –

Easy to use, but it doesn’t give degrees of results, just a yes or no as to whether you have lead in your water.

  665. Sofia Walsh –

Does exactly what it says on the tub, simple to use and the result is easy to make out every time.

  666. Mark W. Pearson –

Lots of tests. I felt like a scientist using this laboratory quality kit. A typical home kit usually contains only one or two tests, whereas this bottle has no frills but loads of tests to share with all your neighbours. It looks like something straight out of a lab. They do expire, but there is plenty of time to test through winter and spring. We tested our bottled water, our tap water and our reverse osmosis filter.

  667. Thomas Griffiths –

Test strips are test strips, but these do the job well and are very simple to dip and read.

  769. Alex Phillips –

Better safe than sorry. When you are stripping back sixty odd years of wall coverings in an old house and you find yourself looking at the original paint, it is probably a perfectly good idea to check for lead before you go any further. I am very glad I did, and also very glad I checked the mid century bench seat I was planning to sand down and repaint. This little kit was simple to use on both horizontal and vertical surfaces and gave a clear reading. I was not surprised that the wall paint contained lead given the age of the building, but I am very glad I checked the bench as well. It has saved me from sanding lead paint and for that reason I am very thankful I bought it.

  848. Mia Pearson-Cook (verified owner) –

Excellent product as always, very easy to use and the result is clear enough to read straight away.

  849. Patrick Mehta (verified owner) –

Having soft water, I found it hard work getting the levels right on their own. This comes in a large container and a spoonful every few days keeps things exactly where they should be. It should last a long time, so it is an economical purchase, and it is genuinely useful having the test strips included as well.

  850. Kevin Spencer (verified owner) –

Good quality product, fast shipping and well packed. I will definitely order it again.

  851. Mrs Samuel Campbell-Webb (verified owner) –

It is perfectly reliable for a quick check and I have compared it against liquid tests. It does fall short on some of the other readings though. For anyone who just wants a straightforward check it is fine, but for more demanding measurements liquid tests are the only way.

I have only used them twice so far. I just needed the simpler test but I could not find the ones I picked up last year, so I went with these instead.

  893. Ms Adeel Clark –

A nice test kit and one of the quickest out there to use. Just to comment on the previous rating, the readings are meant to be read between 5 and 30 seconds according to the instructions. Always calibrate any test kit with a known sample in solution to confirm its readings. That even applies to very expensive high end kits.

You do need these. I have been testing once a day and they make it quick and straightforward to keep an eye on things.

The cost is decent and it saves you time taking your water to the shop to be tested. It is sometimes a little difficult to tell which colour on the chart your reading matches, but that is an issue with any test strips I have used.
