Description
Chlorine dioxide serves as a strong disinfectant across commercial pools, spas, water treatment plants and food production, and confirming the residual level matters for both safety and compliance. These Deep Blue chlorine dioxide test strips deliver a quick, dependable reading from 0 up to 3000mg/L, allowing dosing to be checked on site without waiting on laboratory analysis.
The test only takes seconds: dip the strip, keep it level, then match the reacted pad to the six-level colour chart on the tube. This straightforward visual check fits neatly into a regular plant room round or sanitation audit.
Deep Blue testing products are made to a high standard and colour matched for accurate, repeatable results, and our range of test strips is trusted by pool professionals, holiday let operators and dedicated home users throughout the UK.
Store the tube in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and keep the cap tightly closed between uses to protect the remaining strips.
How to Use
- Dip the strip into the water for 2 seconds and remove it.
- Do not shake off excess water. Hold the strip horizontally for 30 seconds.
- Compare against the colour chart and take any action needed based on the reading.

Ms Naveen Brennan –
Better safe than sorry. When you are stripping back sixty odd years of wall coverings in an old house and you find yourself looking at the original paint, it is probably a good idea to check for lead before you go any further. I am very glad I did, and also very glad I checked the mid century bench seat I was planning to sand down and repaint. This little kit was simple to use on both horizontal and vertical surfaces and gave a clear reading. I was not surprised that the wall paint contained lead given the age of the building, but I am very glad I checked the bench as well. It has saved me from sanding lead paint and for that reason I am very thankful I bought it.

I have used these strips for years by using the dilution method, and they give a reasonable ballpark estimate of the concentration, though not quite to my satisfaction. It would be very useful if there were strips that could read stronger concentrations directly without having to resort to diluting the sample first.
Dr Charlie Q. Hughes (verified owner) –
It does exactly what it is supposed to. I have been using these for decades and have never once been disappointed.

Ms Cian C. Wood –
This test is so simple and the results come through immediately. The problem I have is that my phosphates are very low, possibly zero, and when you are in the low range it is very difficult to read. I am debating whether to buy another, as I am almost out, and whether to send a sample away for professional testing so I can tell if I have any phosphates at all and then judge the readings on this test better. I am also wondering about a more expensive electronic checker, but I know I would not like the fiddly powder reagents. I only have about two tests left, so time matters and I need to know whether to keep dosing. I should have sent one off sooner, because I do like this test a lot.

The best I have used. I have tried quite a few traditional phosphate kits and this is by far the easiest to carry out and to read. The larger water sample and the quantity of reagents both help. Chloe Nair –
These strips are great, easy to use and very accurate. Not one hundred per cent accurate, but accurate enough.
Dr G. Roberts (verified owner) –
A great product and easy to use. If you are using it for the first time alongside water treatments, I would run the treatment for a couple of days first, then put the jets on to move it around, switch off after a few seconds and then dip your test in the water. The colour guide is really easy to follow.
Ms Jordan Johnson-Gill –
Brilliant, I always use these, they are easy to use and accurate.
Ms Isaac W. Webb –
The best on the market for ease of use, and the result could not be simpler to read.

A good test kit which I used to monitor my saltwater cycle.
Miss Arthur Murray-Anderson –
Fit for purpose, and these have a more precise colour change than some of the other strips I have tried.
J. T. Smith (verified owner) –
Good value. It is exactly what it says it is and I am one hundred per cent happy with it, and it arrived quickly too.
Mr Navya Mitchell –
Good to have for testing water from a RODI unit. I picked this up at my local shop as I needed something quickly to test the fresh water coming out of my unit. For a colour chart test it works pretty well and was near enough spot on with my digital tester, which read 0.101 while this kit read between 0.07 and 0.1. My only complaint is that the 15 ml syringe cracked the first time I tried to draw water in, as the plunger seems bigger than the tube. Thankfully I had others on hand so it was not a big deal, but it is something they could look into.
Ms Olivia E. McLean –
It does what it says on the tin and is easy to use, with a clear result every time.
Mrs Claire G. O’Connor –
The seller sent it out very quickly and it arrived in good condition. It was also the lowest price I could find anywhere and came from a new batch with a longer shelf life. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Simple to use and easy to check against the chart, the colour comes up quickly and is clear to read.

Bilal N. Richards (verified owner) –
Very useful, easy to use and good value for money, with a result you can read straight away.

I have used other strips that are easier to read, but these do the job and I am satisfied with the product.
Sara Lee –
Perfect test strips. I have now decided to only ever buy from this seller, as having tried a few other suppliers I think it is best to stick with the experts. Fast and accurate delivery, and maybe not the cheapest but certainly the best.
Mr John K. Chandra (verified owner) –
A great product, easy to use and the delivery was fast, so no complaints at all from me.
Dr Sara Singh (verified owner) –

Very good for effectiveness and quality. It is easy to use and works well, although once the time is up you need to read it straight away, because the colour carries on changing if you leave it. Good service from the seller too.
Oscar Sinclair –
This is fantastic and I was pleased with the quick delivery.
Anna L. Cox-McDonald –
A great, reliable product that is easy to use, and the result is clear enough to read without any guesswork.

Good accuracy and easy to use. The instructions are clear and the reading is simple to take, so I am very happy with it.
Kai Fleming-Phillips (verified owner) –
These strips make it very easy to check things, and I check every single time I use it. After a while you barely need to compare against the chart, as it is pretty obvious when things are out of balance.
Mrs Beatrice S. McKenzie –
Super fast delivery on a repeat order. It arrived in good condition and I highly recommend this seller. Thank you.
Mrs Isla E. McDonald (verified owner) –
A must have for water treatment. Chlorine dioxide is great for treating water, but use too much or too little and bad things happen. This product makes it really easy to get to the concentration you want.

Good value litmus paper. Eighty strips is more than enough for what I need and the price is low.
Stephen Hughes-Clarke (verified owner) –
Easy to use and easy to read the results, with no guesswork involved.
Vikram R. Cook-Mason –
Very handy. It was for my father in law and it made it easy for him to test his tank once I had shown him how.
Aoife Hussain –
As the product was out of stock, after a phone call and with my agreement the seller sent me an alternative, which does not tell you whether the reading you have taken is correct or not, so you have to rely on your own experience. All the same, the test works fine for me.
Mrs B. Z. Iqbal –
I use these a lot and cannot fault the quality. They are consistent and simple to read.
Clare Graham (verified owner) –
Just what we needed and exactly as described, all with a long shelf life, which is great. Delivered quickly too.

It does what a test kit should and it comes from a maker I trust, which is the perfect combination for me.

I have only used this test kit once, but it did what it said it would on the packet, so it seems to be a good product.
Ms Evie Douglas (verified owner) –
A great way to make sure the water is safe to use, and it only takes a moment to check before anyone gets in.
Mrs Daniel Jackson –
Truly impressed, this is a reliable and effective product and I would buy it again without hesitation.
Q. Thomas (verified owner) –
This has everything you need to start looking after the water. You use the test strips to check the levels and then add what is needed to bring them back to where they should be. In the long run I found a different routine easier, but this is a good way to start.
Ms Finn T. Wilson (verified owner) –
They do as intended and I am happy with the results, which are better than the cheaper alternatives.
Mark G. Smith (verified owner) –
Great and easy to use, and a fair price too. The result comes up quickly and is simple to read off the chart.
Dr Patrick Clarke-Price (verified owner) –
It does what it says on the tin, though the strips are a little too small.
Miss Dev James –
I have used these test papers for years. They always work well and they are nice and simple to use.
William Anderson (verified owner) –
Handy and easy to use. My grandchildren loved using the strips to test the pH of different liquids around the house as part of an experiment. The writing was not in English, but fortunately they knew what the colours meant.
Ms E. Z. Mehta –
The quality feels premium, a little goes a long way and overall it is well worth the price.
Peter Q. Stewart-Campbell –
They did exactly what it said on the pack, simple to use and the colour change was easy to read.
Mrs Rachel Cole (verified owner) –
A good product, although slightly clearer instructions would help. It works fine and there is a sudden colour change, but as a first time user it would have been helpful if the instructions had said that the change was from pink to blue. The first couple of drops took it from clear to pink, which is also a colour change but not the one I was looking for.
Abigail Wood (verified owner) –
This hardness test kit worked brilliantly. I live in an area where the water is a little hard and I have a softener installed, but I did not know how to set the reflush cycle. Using the kit I could see that the hardness was 400ppm before cleaning the softener and 60ppm afterwards, so I am very satisfied. I will also be able to use it now and then to watch the water getting harder and know when to recharge the softener.
Sonia McCarthy (verified owner) –
It cost a little more than the other big online seller, however I needed this quicker than they could manage. I need it for measuring the dilution of the bleach I use for cleaning. I use one solution for everyday food service level sanitation, and another stronger one for cleaning the bathroom and toilet at home.
Evelyn P. Anderson –
These strips are so easy to use and they give consistent results, and the bottle lasts a long time. Accurate and essential for keeping the water properly looked after.

Awesome delivery, and the expiry date on the product is pretty good too.

Very satisfied, the quality is professional and the performance is excellent. Exceptional value for money.
Ruby Z. Brar (verified owner) –
Easy to use and easy to read, and it does everything I need it to do without any fuss.
Archie A. Cunningham –
Perfect for the job. I have tried cheaper ones but they were not as accurate as these. It is just costly when a tube only lasts a month.
Andrew Brar –
Easy to use. You just dip the strip and read off the colour, so there is no fuss and no guesswork involved.
Craig H. Kaur (verified owner) –
The seller shipped a few days after I placed the order, but once it was sent the courier got it to me in a day.

Sarah MacDonald –

Jamie P. Martin (verified owner) –
I use these and have no complaints at all. They are reliable and I feel I can trust them.
Stephen Graham (verified owner) –
Very well packed by the seller and fast delivery. It is easy to use and the results are close to my liquid test kits. Compared with the branded strips this is better value and cheaper, as it comes with fifty strips whereas the other only comes with twenty five for about the same money. Thanks to the seller.
Haris Griffiths (verified owner) –
Great quality. The tube that holds the strips is pretty airtight. I compared them against my digital meter and they were accurate. The colours are easy to read and I am glad I tried these after using some lesser quality strips from a different make. Will buy again.
Murdo G. Kaur-Reddy (verified owner) –
Great strips and accurate too, quick to use and easy to read the result.

Dr Mohammed T. Hall (verified owner) –
They are great value for money and I will definitely buy more and recommend them to others. They arrived on time with great service.
Harrison R. Scott –
Easy to use and a great product, with a clear result every time I dip one.
Simran Y. Green (verified owner) –
Nice and easy to read, the colour change comes up quickly and matches the chart without any guesswork.
Mr Callum Wilson –
Works as it should. My only problem with this item is that I do not need as many of the strips as come in the bottle, so half of them expire before I can use them.
Miss Mark Patel –
A quick and easy way to gauge a critical water quality condition. I love these test strips because they measure perhaps the most deadly element in the hobby in a simple way. My only criticism, and this is on me rather than on the strips or the shop, is that I find them harder to read now than I did ten years ago. With my eyesight, the subtle differences on the colour chart sometimes give me trouble, usually when trying to tell a straight zero from something around the halfway mark. I am confident that if there was a serious ammonia problem, and anything above zero needs attention, the colour would tell me, as the green gets more intense. Plenty of light and a white backdrop help with reading the results as well.
Mrs O. M. MacLeod (verified owner) –
Awesome service, thank you. The strips turned up quickly and are very simple to use for a fast check.
Ms Amrit Kelly (verified owner) –
Very satisfied with this kit, it performs to a professional standard and gives fast results. Highly recommended.

Unlike tablets these simply last well and are easy to work with, so I get a result with no fuss at all.
Huda J. Watson-Brar (verified owner) –
So pleased with these strips, the quality feels professional and the results come up quickly. Highly recommend them.
Dr Evelyn Parker –
One of the better tests I have used, and the phone app works properly too. I would recommend them.
Hassan Khan (verified owner) –
You have to tap the water off quickly and lay it flat, otherwise the colours bleed, but other than that it is great.
Gurleen Roberts-Gill –
Easy to use and I would recommend them, they give a clear result with very little effort.
M. G. Fisher (verified owner) –
Good delivery and easy to use. I am not sure how accurate it is, but it seems reasonable enough and I am happy with it.
Ms Harvey Akhtar (verified owner) –

The measurement is simple and quick. How accurate it is exactly is hard to say, but it seems accurate enough for what I need. I would recommend it.

Would definitely buy these again. They are easy to use and easy to read, and the colour change is clear enough to check at a glance.

They do just what they are meant to do, and they were a nice thing to receive as a gift. Easy to use as well.
Dr Phoebe Ward –

Mrs Rowena Wood (verified owner) –
An excellent product. Simple to use, clear results and good value for the money.
Ms Millie Foster (verified owner) –
These test strips are so easy to use. You just dip one in the water and hold it against the chart on the bottle, and you can clearly see whether anything needs adjusting. Testing regularly gives me real confidence in the water.

These dip tests are good quality compared with the cheap ones you buy off the marketplace sites, and they are simple to use.
Ms Mason Mehta –
Quick and easy to use, and the colour change shows up clearly straight away.
Ms Isha Griffiths (verified owner) –

Ms Eilidh Nair (verified owner) –
It seems fine so far. Easy enough to use and the colours are clear enough to read against the chart.
Seamus Thomas (verified owner) –
An indispensable product. Chlorine dioxide is a wonderful disinfectant, but if you know the first thing about it you know that its concentration in solution wanes rather rapidly. I keep a little bottle handy, and the question is always how to know whether it needs replacing. These strips give you an instant answer.
Simon Z. Moore (verified owner) –
These test strips are fairly accurate when testing the water. Occasionally one or more of the pads does not show a proper colour, which means using an extra strip. Otherwise, they work well.
Dylan E. Turner (verified owner) –
An instant read out with no guessing involved, which makes checking the water a lot quicker.
Julia Ward-Doyle –
I have been using these test strips for years and a professional told me this is the best way to check the water. They are easy to use.
Rishi I. Barnes (verified owner) –
Very convenient and easy to use. The strips are really simple and I would recommend downloading the mobile app too, as it is very helpful and stores your previous results.
S. Hughes –
As far as testing strips go, these are far more accurate than any other strip out there. They are the next best thing to a liquid test.
Euan Hughes –
A good kit, although I am still looking for one that is not too hard to read. My last one was clear for zero phosphate and sort of clear for some phosphate. This one is yellow, or yellower, at the low end, and higher readings do turn green, which is better than the others that just go a darker shade of blue as the level increases.
Dr Aoife S. Foster-Price (verified owner) –
Very good, I am glad I got this item and it is easy to use, so thank you.
Adeel Ahmed (verified owner) –
A bit pricey, and you should get more strips for your money, but they do work well.
Miss Finlay Dhillon (verified owner) –
I have not had the chance to use these yet, but they arrived quickly and look to be exactly what I was after, so no complaints so far.

K. H. Gibson (verified owner) –
Easy to use and pretty accurate to the description, and the results are based on where they should be, which is all listed on the box.
Miss David Nair –
I have tried other makes of test strip but these are the ones I like the best.
Mr Simran R. Graham –
Very useful. It works really well with the phone app, you just take a photo of the strip and the app reads the result and advises what to do to improve things.
Declan Parker –
Quick and easy to use, and it gives you a good rough idea of the state of the water.
Patrick D. Hamilton (verified owner) –
A great product that does exactly what it says on the packet, simple to use and the result is easy to read.

Miss William J. Marshall –
Really pleased with this kit. It was simple to use, the result was clear to read and it arrived quickly, so I would happily recommend it to anyone.
Mrs Anwar Z. Hughes-Morgan –
I used these for hard water testing. I tried one at a house where I knew the softener was working and the test responded correctly, then I used a strip at home and it showed very hard water, so it works.
Mrs Lucy Das –
A good product overall. It is straightforward to use and gives a clear enough result for what I need it for.
H. Kaur-Hunt –
A useful bit of kit. I have used this product for a while and now that I know what the readings mean it is a helpful tool to have, and easy to use.

Dr Helena Stewart (verified owner) –
Does what it says on the tin, nice and simple to use with a result you can read straight away.
Miss Sunil Patel –
Does exactly what it says on the packet and tests the levels clearly. Very easy to use and it takes the guesswork out of checking the water, and you can keep a record of your readings as you go. A great product.
Mr A. R. Hunt (verified owner) –
I ordered these by mistake as I meant to get the ones for the digital reader, but I am glad I did because they measure additional levels too. They appear to give a true reading, which is remarkable for what they cost.

J. N. Macleod (verified owner) –
Fairly easy to use and accurate. It is similar to the other tests in the range, but I usually double up on the reagent and the test sample to get a more discernible result, especially when testing phosphates at the lower end of the scale. The only thing better and more reliable would be an electronic phosphate meter, but that costs a fair bit more.
Teddy Palmer (verified owner) –
bought some cheaper ones that were fairly expensive but they were hopelessly inaccurate, complete waste of time and ingredients. Sent them back.
Bit the bullet and bought these instead. Yes they are expensive but if you want to measure what you’re making accurately then it’s important to have the tool measure the chlorine dioxide precisely.
These perform that task perfectly.
Glad I bought them.
Mr Charlie Turner (verified owner) –
This is a reliable product and ordering it from the seller was quick and easy.
Miss Farhan Fleming –
It definitely works. I checked it today on five different waters and it is superb.

Dr Fraser Cameron (verified owner) –
It does exactly what it says on the tin, simple to use and the result is clear enough to read straight away.
Jai Akhtar (verified owner) –
Decent value. With the price of the reagents I was using going up, I tried this kit instead, and it is much easier to test with as there is no powder to deal with. I tested on three separate occasions and both kits came close to the same results, though the older one gave a slightly more definite answer. Vikram Griffiths (verified owner) –
A great starter kit for a new owner. The chlorine takes a little messing about with to work out the quantity to water ratio, as we needed less than the packaging indicated, so there was some trial and error to get the level correct. After the initial dose it has been very easy to check the levels with the strips and then top up. Spot on.
Miss Abigail Holmes –
They are great for getting some quick and easy results, and I usually follow up any irregularities from the strip test with a liquid test. These seem quite accurate and the results usually agree with the liquid tests, apart from one of the readings, which always seems to come out a little higher. They are so easy to use, just swirl the strip a couple of times and then read the results. Great for a quick weekly check.

An accurate and easy phosphate test. Good packaging and easy to use. The colour I estimated was between the 0.10 and 0.20 colours with nothing in between, so it seemed to measure 0.15. My digital checker read 0.14. Sometimes the colours can be hard to tell apart, but I felt this was pretty easy for the range I was in. A good test kit.

Ms O. Campbell (verified owner) –
I buy these over and over again. These test strips are my go to product for checking my water quality and I have been using them exclusively since 2018.
Ms Hafsa Z. Evans –
A nice test kit and one of the quickest out there to use. Just to comment on the previous rating, the results are meant to be read between 5 and 30 seconds according to the instructions. Always calibrate any test kit with a known sample in solution to confirm its readings. That even applies to very expensive high end kits.
Georgia O. Johnstone –
Very straightforward to use, and the result is easy enough to read off the chart.
Ms Alice S. Iqbal (verified owner) –

Good for quick testing on a few tanks if you do not have the time for liquid testing. The results can vary a little, but they are okay.

It is just as it is supposed to be and the price was great too, easy to use and quick to read.
O. Z. Price –
It all comes in a very nice plastic container that you can keep everything in, and it looks a lot better quality than the last one I bought, which only lasted a couple of years before the colour faded. This one cost more, so I hope it lasts a good deal longer.
Ms Asha Brennan –
Does what it says and is easy to use, no complaints from me at all.
Charlie Bennett (verified owner) –
I made the purchase and the product arrived in good time, well packaged and just as described.

Good packaging, nothing broken and no damage at all. I tested for phosphate straight away, because I thought that might be the reason for the algae bloom, but the reading came back at zero, so it must be something else.
Lauren O. Rahman (verified owner) –
Really pleased with these. They are simple to use and give you a clear result very quickly.

Very pleased overall, although I do think the algae treatment is struggling to clear my algae because of the very prolonged hot weather, which keeps the water too warm.

The colours bleed together too easily but overall it is adequate.
Mrs Manpreet Akhtar –
Lots of tests. I felt like a scientist using this laboratory quality kit. A typical home kit usually contains only one or two tests, whereas this bottle has no frills but plenty of tests to share with all your neighbours. It looks like something straight out of a lab. They do expire, but there is plenty of time to test through winter and spring. We tested our bottled water, our tap water and our reverse osmosis filter.
Dr Victoria Parker –
A good test kit. I used it to monitor my saltwater cycle.
Miss Z. R. Mason (verified owner) –
I read about this before buying and it is a new, reliable and easy testing method. I tried it on some pretty vintage plates I picked up second hand and two out of three tested positive for lead, so we will not be using them for food any more. The test is very easy indeed, you put one drop of the liquid on the surface you want to test and then shine the included UV light on it, and if it goes green there is lead.
Dr Gary Reynolds (verified owner) –
Brilliant, and they measure accurately too. Quick to use and easy to read, I would recommend them.
T. Q. Reed (verified owner) –
I like these test strips, they are quite good for easing your mind about the water results. Very happy, many thanks.

It does exactly what it says on the label, quickly and with no fuss at all.
Mrs Kirsty Smith (verified owner) –
Easy to use, but it does not give degrees of results, just a yes or no as to whether you have lead in your water.
Miss Meera J. Walker (verified owner) –
The test kit is a reliable one, so do your research. Delivery was super fast and the seller helped me out because I needed it quickly. This seller provides excellent service and support, and it is not my first time buying here. I have confidence in them after many interactions.
