The clorine tablets case is great but the tablets don’t seem to disolve very well. Also the test strips aren’t exactly coming across very reliable: they give roughly the same reading everytime regardless of how many tablets and how long they’ve been in the pool for!? Didn’t come with instructions so we’ve had to trial/error/guess… Perhaps not the best kit to buy.

  233. Angelus –

I purchased these for our hot tub. I had scoured many sites looking for good value and here had the best deal. They arrived really quickly and I am very pleased with them. Hot tubs can be tricky getting the chemical balance, but these tablets make it super simple. I have a ‘floaty’ dispenser so these are perfect. I put 2 tablets in every 5 days or so and my water is crystal clear and always has that mild bleach smell, that smells clean. I dip test it every day and it seems to always keep in balance, so highly recommend using these. We as a family have had no skin irritations, like some other chemicals can cause.

Glad I chose this as its really easy to maintain levels of chlorine in the pool. It has 3 slit openings so you can adjust the dosage. Now its warm and being used daily it needs to be open 3 slits and tablets going down quicker but levels never drop. Fab! Def recommend for beginner pool tester like me.

  235. P.G –

To save a load of money, I put 2 Jacuzzi size Chlorine tablets in this old toilet dispenser, and they last for weeks helping to keep the bowl clean. A tub of 50 tablets costs a fraction of the price for the normal cleaner tabs.VERY IMPORTANT: Don’t do this if you have pets or children. Do not put them into the cistern as this may damage the rubber parts and seals.

Much simpler to use than separate chemicals which I couldn’t get to grips with. I put 1-2 tablets in the floating dispenser which lasts about 3 days depending on use of hot tub (used in Lay Z Spa Monaco). I found that I needed to also purchase the DeepBlue clarifier as the tablets contain algaecide which I think is what made the water a bit cloudy..poured clarifier in and now have sparkly clear water too!!! Fast delivery, highly recommend for a simple way to maintain a lay z spa, very happy with my purchase. Don’t get your nose too close when opening the pot as it is a very strong smell!!!!

Really good product I have bought a second lot now as they have kept my 10ft steel frame pool clean and crystal clear for 10 weeks now with no problems. But do be careful as they are very strong! I had to empty half the pool out after 10 weeks as the smell of the gasses being admitted was very strong it was burning my nose. But that’s to be expected with the same water for an extended period of time. If used correctly then you wont have any problems.

After some research I decided to put 2 tablets in my LayZSpa Miami ChemConnect dispenser today after draining and refilling it (800 litres) and within around 2hrs my spa was at the perfect chlorine strength using the dip test strips and is ready to use. May drop down to 1 tablet next time once these 2 have dissolved as it will have had its loading dose and see how that goes. But already far easier to use than mixing up the granulated chlorine and trying to get it right using that mixture. Must use a dispenser though, dont add them just to the spa water directly!

  341. Michael56 (verified owner) –

20 gram tablets fit perfectly in floating disperser for new DeepBlue Pure Spa. Well presented and convenient tub of 50 tablets will last a long time but the price did seem higher than we expected – possibly due to shortages caused by COVID crisis.

Although these are probably 99.9% the same as the more expensive versions available I think these are slightly better (although that might just be the smugness talking as these saved me quite a lot of money). This arrived promptly and looks like it does what it should, however, there were no instructions as to how to use, how many tablets to use and tablets were in clear polythene bag. Bearing in mind that the majority of people who might purchase this are probably doing it for their children’s pool this is not exactly a very satisfactory state of affairs. This is now the third purchase I have made on here when tablets or powder has come in such a method. Think that it should be stated on the product page that this is the case and then you have a choice. Would imagine too that couriers wouldn’t be too impressed that they were delivering unlabelled chemicals!! SORT IT OUT here

We have been using these as directed in a floater in our 10 ft DeepBlue pool along with the electric filter since the end of April when we errected the pool. We have had several pools in the past, and usually by now there is a horrid green build up around the pool. But these little gems have kept our pool fresh and clean, so it will be no problem when the time comes to taking it down. I have also ordered more so I have a supply ready for next summer.

  531. ANGEL65 (verified owner) –

    Good Good 👍

  532. Jim Parkinson (verified owner) –

We had a quiet deep pool this year, as we just change it we was looking for multifunctional tablets that will keep our water clear without changing it at least 3-4 time writhing summer. And those once hit the spot. Our pool stayed clean and the water stayed clear for whole summer. We were using about 3 tablets a week, well worth our money ! Will definitely order some more 🙂

  533. PATRICE DIEZ CHILLON (verified owner) –

  536. Steve Chappell (verified owner) –

Seems like they work really well so far but it has only been a couple of weeks. Using thrm in a 10ft pool. They do seem to last well in the dispenser though, so very happy….

  537. Anel Palafox (verified owner) –

The ease of it pop tablet in container leave in pool overnight cleans the pool not too strong on odour and doesn’t affect the eyes

  538. Denise Hilal (verified owner) –

These are clearly chlorinated by the smell but they do such a great job, well worth the money but you must use a dispenser

  539. Gary Frecknall (verified owner) –

I bought this on prime as I needed it urgently. If your willing to wait a few weeks then you can get it considerably cheaper. Feel the price is hiked up for the convenience

  556. Mrs. V. M. Vaile (verified owner) –

Easy to use.you need a chemical floater to put them in but these are very cheap. We used them in our 12ft pool over the summer and found them much easier than measuring out the chlorine granules every week as we been doing previously.

  557. Barbefty (verified owner) –

Good price, the easiest way to keep a Jacuzzi free from Bacteria.Just put one to three tablets in a submersible container and leave in the Jacuzziwhen not using. NO smells and NO residue in the bottom of the Jacuzzi.

  558. Margaret M Richmond (verified owner) –

    Does the job

  559. Sexy Pepsi –

Easy to use with floating dispenser. Keep eye on dispenser as dissolves quite quickly if hot weather. I would not use this in pool without adding the dissolved grain type chlorine but good to know that pool always getting a trickle of chlorine between regular dosses.

  560. Che B –

Was ok, done what it said on the box.

  561. Carol Harper –

    Easy to use

  562. Ian Clark –

    Good product

  563. Malcolm Macdonald –

Don’t buy this. the £30 DeepBlue spa/pool starter kit has everything you need including strips that work. What’s the point of selling chlorine tablets and strips if you can’t tell what the water quality is?

  564. Alan527 (verified owner) –

    Great

  565. PATRICK SWEENEY (verified owner) –

Smell awful. Work great, but going to have to stop using in my Lay Z Spa as the water smells terrible!

  566. Rajnipriya Sharma (verified owner) –

Useless item. Used my floater and after 2 days, nothing had dissolved. My test strips detected NO Chlorine whatsoever. Thr packaging smelt very very strong on arrival but I trusted the seller. I ended up putting one into the pool directly – what a stupid idea, it has bleached the bottom of my new pool. Seller has to agree to refund before you can send the item back – of course they ask you to “give it another go” which is pointless obviously. Avoid at all costs. I want my money back!!!

  567. M Kasperek (verified owner) –

Using in 8ft pool. Comes with 10 tabs, 1 tab has lasted over a week and has kept the pool clear from bacteria. The bottom of the pool is clean and non slippery also. Good buy 👍👍

  568. Hamstead (verified owner) –

10ft pool still clear after a week (we do have a little filter). We have a very hard water here so not sure the value in the test strips as we are off the scale but so far so good.

  569. A.W. (verified owner) –

These are huge!! Thought they would fit in my pool floater but not a chance they must be about 3″ in diameter. Not very many either

  573. hifi –

  574. aisha syed (verified owner) –

Absolute Bargain! I purchased these for £39.82 for a 5KG tub which consists of 250 chlorine tablets.Lay-Z-Spa sell a 1KG tub for £19.99 which is only for 50 chlorine tablets, so for 250 tablets it would’ve cost me £99.95 but it only cost me £39.82 which works out at about £7.96 per 50 tablets. Absolute bargain if you ask me…These tablets are authentic and do a great job keeping my hot tub chemical levels correct. This tub will last me a very long time as I only tend to use 2 tablets per week.I don’t understand some reviews showing incorrect contents arriving and personally must say that this is not the case for me and that what arrived is what I ordered.I’m very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend for hot tub users.

  626. Sara M (verified owner) –

Very pleased to find these and got them on the basis of the other recommendations and reviews for a large (8X4) paddling pool. Two tablets on the smallest aperture easily lasted for two weeks in the summer. imagine if I’d gone to some specialist pool supplier! I’d come out with some hugely expensive filter or a giant box of tabs and pay over the odds as well. Well done here!

  627. Deuce49 (verified owner) –

We’ve had these before for our Hot Tub and they provide good value for money and dissolve without a problem. Cheaper than the DeepBlue version by a fiver – albeit the price of all tablets has gone up by 33% due to COVID. (everyone staying at home buying a hot tub instead of holidaying equals price increases unfortunately it seems).

  781. Mammut (verified owner) –

Not as good as other chlorine tablets I’ve used. Dissapointed.

  782. YohDave –

Bought these as an easy way to keep control of the chlorine level in our above ground pool. As we don’t have a pool heater the water is generally on the cold side which meant that they didn’t dissolve which was very disappointing. If I had known this I wouldn’t have purchased them. Easy to use though

  783. Howard Burgess –

Purchased these for small hot tub, really good, water has remained clear all Summer. No sign of algae or cloudiness.

  810. Cecilie (verified owner) –

These tablets make keeping the levels in a lazy spa a breeze. Simply pop one in to a holder every few days and forget about the chlorine levels in your spa. It has an adjustable setting so you can adjust the amount of chlorine released depending on the size of the spa. I have the saint tropez and a setting of 2 bars seems to the keep the levels right in the middle of the ideal level and the tablets generally last 3 days with daily use of the spa.

  811. Tom Knmann –

This is the first time that I have used pool chemicals and I must say that this device appears to work. I still had to add a healthy dose of chlorine granules (dissolved in a bucket 1st) to the pool after we came back from holiday as mosquito larvae were having a field day .. they didn’t last too long though. My understanding is that this just maintains the chlorine strength.

  812. AdamH –

As it says on the tin,but don’t put too many in you will end up with watery eyes and breathing problems

After having to constantly weigh the granules I thought I’d give one of these a go. It’s tons better and does the job perfect for keeping my hot tub nice and clean. Can adjust the bottom to release slow or faster too. A lot easier and cheaper than using granules.

  825. Sabine DB –

Item as described. Reasonable price. Speedy delivery. Would recommend this seller

  826. Salim Miah –

I believe this product is a fake, when comparing it against the clear water tablets I purchased at B&Q, the label looks faded and blurry, also when I opened the tub they were no where near as strong as the others I had, they were a different colour and much more dusty. The tablets themselves smelt more like a household bleach than chlorineI wouldnt recommend buying these!I would ensure you get them from the company or somewhere like B&Q

  827. Miguel R. (verified owner) –

  851. Siriuf –

Very easy to use and keeps our spa lovely and clean

  852. Equine Answers –

This chlorine tablet dispenser is good .. place the tablets into it and let the breeze take it around the pool .. you can vary the amount of chlorine that leeches out from it .. but I always have it fully open as it seems to chlorinate better that way!

  853. Joy Carter –

The lid does not fit and so you might as well just chuck the chlorine tablet at the bottom of the pool as that’s where it ends up. It has bleached the floor of my pool due to the tablet falling out

  854. garvey1 (verified owner) –

    Easy to use

  855. Graham Gittins –

These are absolutely excellent. Keep the hot tub water crystal clear

  856. J Bampton –

Does what it says although the little litmus test strips are useless. I had the same reading before I put the tablets in as after they’d been in the pool for about 3 weeks. Maybe the tablets are rubbish after all!!

Great product but alters the PH levels alot so ensure …

  878. Marc Lawrence –

Kept the pool nice and clean

  879. Emigna –

Only slight complaint is that the pH papers are not that effective/reliable, but if you put in a new tablet every week or so (or sooner if the water starts to discolour) then it’s not really critical to gauge pH strength anyway.

  880. Stevon (verified owner) –

    Great product, would recommend.

  881. Sharon Higgins –

Needed to help keep the water clean in our Bestway 12ft pool. Purchased a floater to pop these in, when you open the tub the chlorine smell hits you, simply pop and tablet in the floater and pop that in the pool when nobody is in there. The water only has a slight chlorine smell. The tablets last a long time so this tub will go far. Just the job!

Does what it says on the tin… spa water getting a tad dirty/smelly? Forgotten to maintain it? Add 3 or 4 of these chlorine tab things to the outflow and your water should be all clean and clear within a day. Word of advice…dont smell them when you open the tub or breathe in near them unless you like coughing with a burning sensation up your nose! P.S. I told you…. you cant esist… dont smell them!

I was a little apprehensive buying these again because the last batch (same product) I bought didn’t work nor did they smell of chlorine at all, but thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt one more time.I’m pleased to say that these ones work very well and smell of chlorine, when they work they keep the water crystal clear better than any I’ve tried.

Something so simple and cheap saved me a summer time of constantly changing the water in our 10ft pool. It stopped the water turning green, you know like it does when it’s been just sitting in the pool for a few days. I would recommend this to anybody who has a large paddling pool.

Stupidly decided to put the 8ft pool up in the garden this year before remembering how much of a faff it is to put away again. Still, little’n loved it and i definitely made the most of it with the nice weather too. Decided to try and leave it out for a bit though and knew id need some chemicals to avoid draining and re-filling. Had no idea what i needed, or what was best, so a little online research led me to believe these were a quick win for my situation. Found this, seemed reasonably priced compared to others and reviews were ok. Arrived, popped it open, put a single tablet in and left it to float about whenever we werent using it. Pool was covered too to stop debris landing in it constantly as well.Im no expert but i think it worked a treat? Pool stayed lovely and clear, no gunk or slime build up anywhere and it smelled clean. A little chemically, like a swimming pool kinda scent, but reassuringly familiar as clean, if that makes sense. Took it out whenever we dived in, popped it back in after. I got over 3 weeks out of a single tablet which just slowly dissolved and did its thing. Testing strips were easy to use, take one out, dip it, wait for the colours to update and compare against chart. With the treatment in, my readings were always spot on so i assume it was working as intended. Despite being able to tell it had stuff in, we had no issues with burning eyes or anything like that ether. Plenty left for if we ever have more good weather too. Cant complain with this at all, simple, effective and saved me a tonne of hassle messing about with the pool. Would definitely recommend. It is advisable to remove all chemicals some 3-10 days in advance of draining though, i need to let mine drain predominantly in the garden and didnt want to kill any plants or wildlife, so after the weather turned, i took this out, left the pool covered for 4/5 days until it no longer smelled fresh and then drained. All my grass and surrounding plants are perfectly fine so seems no harm done.

I haven’t had to add any chlorine other than a few of these in the float. Chlorine is up middle of the ok range in an 18 ft diameter easyset pool. In previous years I have had to boost the chlorine with granuals every few weeks, but not with these tablets.

Not as easy as I had hoped.I had got in the habit of adjusting chlorine granules according to the usage and could usually guess when I got out how much to add so that my hot tub was ready the next day again. I still checked the levels everyday but rarely had to alter much. These are supposed to do everything – chlorinate, clarify, stabilise and have an inbuilt pH plus. Just stick one tablet in a floater and away you go.And it keeps my hot tub levels OK. But its not a set and forget.I have the official bestway floater and even on the most closed aperture it tends to over clorinate and I have to take it out occasionally.I have also had two instances of the water going cloudy after about 2 weeks, requiring a refill, which makes me think the clarifying part isn’t great.Overall, I think I’ll stick to granules next time.

It came on time and was simple to use, but I think I would get something better next time. But it still does the trick.

  1219. Kay H –

I loved how much cheaper and work just the same this product is

1220. User aus Hamburg (verified owner) –

Love these. I pop two in every other day into a cleaning holder thing that bobs around and hope for the best. I must get the strips to test really. But I have had no algae and water is clear. Would get again as I think these are easy to use compared to those kits that you have to add different chemicals to. I would recommend getting the anti foam solution as these dont prevent those frothy bubble

    Good product

  1234. Weir82 (verified owner) –

Maintenance has increased since using these, though I cannot be sure they are directly the cause. There is a build up of crystal sediment on the hot tub floor and an increase in E02 errors, even once the filter was removed, leading to repeated resets and tub vacuuming sessions.

Delivered on time. Works well but is a bit hit and miss on quantity of tablets needed for Hot Tub as no guidance is provided and is reliant on balancing tablet quantity with test strip readings.

They are very necessary for your hot tub, but do remember to take the holder out when you are using the tub. What can I say about the tablets they come in a big plastic tub which will lats along time at the rate of one tablet a week. It was a quick delivery time and I have no problems with the purchase or delivery. I know where to go for my restock when I run out.

Does exactly what I bought it for! 10 foot paddling pool uses about one tablet a week and the pool stays safe and clean.

  1347. Mrs. Shauna Whall –

Worked well in a fairly large paddling pool. The lid came of the floater and the tablets escaped and bleached the pool liner where they sat at the bottom. did not bother me for a cheep pool, but I would be annoyed if it was in an expensive item.
