Description

This listing covers the 2Kg size.

Widely relied on to keep hot tub and swimming pool water safe and free of bacteria, these chlorine tablets are stabilised against chlorine loss from sunlight and release their chlorine gradually over 2-4 days, depending on how much water flows past them.nnnnUse them in floating dispensers, chemical feeders or skimmer baskets, whichever suits your setup.nnnnDose regularly to keep free chlorine at the recommended 3-5 mg/l (ppm) in hot tubs or 1-3 mg/l (ppm) in swimming pools. Slow release and long lasting, these tablets have as little effect on water pH as you’ll find in a stabilised chlorine tablet.nnnnKey FeaturesnnnnIt’s best to keep a free chlorine range of 3 – 5mg/l for hot tubs and 1-3mg/l for swimming pools. These stabilised tablets are well suited to regular dosing of your hot tub or swimming pool, generating free active chlorine that kills bacteria and other potentially harmful organisms, with a high level of both available chlorine and chlorine stabiliser.nnnnApplication Instructionsnnnn1. Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. If outside this range please use our PH plus or PH minus products to adjust for the best results.nnnn2. Maintain free chlorine residuals for hot tubs between 3-5mg/l and for swimming pools between 1 – 3mg/l (ppm). Freshly filled hot tubs require an initial shock or start up dose of chlorine: 50mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours.nnnn3. For floating dispenser: Fill the floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 3-5mg/l (ppm) desired range. Alternatively keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve 3-5mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the hot tub whilst bathing.nnnn4. For chlorine feeders: Fill the dispenser and follow feeder instruction manuals on flow regulation to maintain required chlorine levels.nnnn5. For skimmer baskets: Fill the basket with sufficient tablets and monitor levels to maintain required chlorine levels.nnnn6. It is recommended that you periodically (e.g. fortnightly or after heavy use) shock dose your pool to eliminate any excess contamination.nnnnNote: If using in skimmer baskets we would suggest you run the pump often to prevent a build up of chlorine. Please ensure children to not have access to the skimmer as this could be dangerous.nnnnDose Rates (subject to water flow rate and temperature)nnnnMedium hot tub 1,000 litre (220 Gallons) of water requires approx 1 tablet to increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm) or 3 tablets to increase chlorine level by 3mg/l(ppm)nnnnLarge hot tub 1,500 litre (330 Gallons) of water requires approx 2 tablets to increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm) or 6 tablets to increase chlorine level by 3mg/l(ppm)nnnnSwimming pools add 1 tablet per 4,500 litres (1000 Gallons) of water and monitor levels.

Our pool has no pump so I was worried about the quality of water so hence why I went for this. It is easy to use and this product gives you the piece of mind that the pool is OK. I have found that with a pool with no pump it is necessary to circulate the water by moving it with you hand so that you get an accurate reading on the ph strips. Thanks am still using and pool is looking good.

    Five Stars

  137. TheDukeUK –

The dispenser and chlorine tablets arrived today and it was so simple to set up and get in the pool. The instructions weren’t great, because it isn’t clear how many tablets should go in at a time.. surely it depends on the amount of water in the pool? I didn’t want to put too much in in case the chlorine levels got too high so I used one tablet for a 10ft round pool and will replace it when fully dissolved, probably in a week or so. Great product otherwise tho!

  185. Samj171 (verified owner) –

Really pleased how quick it came. We have a 6ft Intex pool, so far I’ve put one tablet in the dispenser and had it in one day, sadly due to rain the kids haven’t used the pool since putting it in, so I haven’t tested the chlorine level. I’m glad the strips were included, I wouldn’t want to guess. You also get a chart which tells you the level it should be which is very handy.

    Value

  187. Mrs M A Wilson (verified owner) –

    Didn’t work

  188. Rainer Prinz (verified owner) –

The floater is great, nothing to say about that. The price is also very attractive for including the chlorine tablets, floater and testing strips. My only disappointment was the testing strips and instructions. I had high levels of pH and Alkalinity after testing the water and hey don’t tell you what to do in the instructions in that scenario.I had to do some research online as I’m very new to pool care and concluded that I had to buy more chemicals to reduce those levels. I got an Alkalinity and pH reducer online and it seems to have helped since. But it would have been nice to have more guidance in the instructions. The tests do not provide exact readings as well, but for the price I guess it’s ok.Still a good kit, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

  189. N. Coburn (verified owner) –

  193. Wise One –

Tablets take a while to dissolve, as stated on instructions, but pool already smells faintly of chlorine ,and water is clear with no slimy feel to plastic pool interior. Have deliberately underdosed to start with as I don’t yet have test strips.

I had ordered another one from a another supplier which never arrived, i then ordered this one.The delivery was outstandingly fast, but unfortunately my pool had already started to go green, however within a couple of days it had cleared the green up and the pool was perfect until the weather got too cold to use it anymore.Cant recommend this product enough

  244. Ronnie –

For a swimming pool like this one 8′ x 30″ I use two tablets during the night and take them off during the day. It will last approximately a week to melt the two tablets. The water will stay clean and healthy.

  245. Scott Iyer (verified owner) –

I received this product ahead of the scheduled delivery day which I was very happy about. However before purchasing these you should read the description and not rely on the photo as you will only be supplied 10 test strips not the 50 pictured. I contacted the seller about this but they failed to acknowledge that it was wrong to list this product with the wrong photo.I cant yet comment on how well it works but my hope is it will maintain the chlorine levels in my hot tub better. The actual dispenser and tablets seem fine, I have set it up on a low setting and will monitor the water balance.I would rate this higher but I hate false advertisement.

  302. Luis Rey –

Omg I’ve never known anything like it!! I couldn’t get my usual product for my lazy spa st moritz so after reading all the positive reviews i thought I’d try this product. So i popped 2 tablets in my floating mushroom thing the next day me and my 8 year old son went in everything seemed fine. Then we put on the bubbles well…. we both started coughing badly then our eyes began to burn. I will not use this product again its awful its more like industrial for a pond or something its horrible!!

  303. Marilena (verified owner) –

I have read lots of reviews and thought it was a good product. To start with, when it arrived some of the tablets were broken.I put one in the dispenser and put on the pool. After a couple of hours the tablet was almost gone, which surprised me as many people said it lasted over a week.So I was a bit disappointed with the product.

  304. Ben Nair (verified owner) –

  341. CathK (verified owner) –

This has made my life sooooooo much easier. I was getting a bit fed up sorting the chlorine everyday in the hot tubWell after a few days of trial and error, I now know I just need to have one hole half open, and one tablet in the dispenser, and this keeps my chlorine levels perfect. Now I only need to add a new tablet every 3 days, and it keeps the levels perfect, and this also makes it easier to keep the PH and Alkaline levels correct.Wish I’d bought this a few weeks ago, and saved myself the hassle. Oh well, live and learn. My only negative, and this is just being picky really, I’m not overly keen on the lid. Just need to double check it’s secure. But that’s it really. Overall its a solid 9/10 for me, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends.

Bought these to use in an 8ft paddling pool. Started with one tablet in dispenser (being a little cautious not to put too much in) – after 1 week the water was a little cloudy and there were a couple of masses of mosquito larvae : / Refilled pool and put in 1.5 tablets, keeping it topped up to this level – 3 weeks later the pool is crystal clear and no sign of any larvae. Very happy with this product : )

  351. Dr Tom Y. Uddin –

Bought this for the hot tub, very disappointed the tabs do not work, basically they do not dissolve, do not even smell of chlorine and after being in the floater for a week with vents practically fully open they still did not work when testing the chlorine levels there was no chlorine detected. Thrown them away.Would definitely not order this not fit for purpose product. Be warned

  433. Mrs Douglas Mason –

I bought this for my 8 foot pool in the summer. I got 10 tablets, the dispenser and some test stripes. The dispenser is really easy to use and can be adjusted depending on how much chlorine is needed in the pool. I changed the tablets roughly every 8 to 10 days by which time they had dissolved. Tablets and dispenser worked really well and kept my pool clean all summer My son used the pool all the time and said that he didnt realise that there was chlorine in the pool which was good. Only downside is the test stripes. I used them once and didnt like them so I threw them away.

  434. Miss Damian Bailey –

    Definitely recommend

  435. Mrs Rahul Hughes –

Get a pack of these and it should last you the whole summer, only need to change the water a couple of times if you put four of these in a floater. Get a cover to stop leaves going in and prevent algae build up. Buy a rubber brush to scrub the bottom too, jobs a good un.Love the smell of chlorine, so fresh n nice.

We bought our 10ft pool last year, and we bought chemicals which needed to be calculated and weighed. After reading other reviews, I decided to give this a go. We have had our pool up over a month now, and the water is as clean as the day we first put it in, all I can say is ‘FABULOUS’ so easy, and I would highly recommend.

The picture shows a float and the tub of tablets. I assumed the float would come with it when I purchased. Not the case unfortunately because no float came in the box. I rechecked the wording on the product writing and there was no mention of the float. Bit annoyed but I guess I should have read the information properly. They should take off the picture of the float because this is misleading

The dispenser is fine but the picture shows a tub of 50 test strips. What you actually get is a little silver foil pack of 10.
