Description

Sold here as the 5Kg size.

These multifunctional chlorine tablets combine stabilised chlorine, a clarifier and an algaecide in one enhanced tablet. It’s an easy way to keep your pool or hot tub sparkling without reaching for separate care products, and it helps keep the water safe and free from bacteria. The stabiliser cuts down on chlorine loss caused by sunlight, the clarifier keeps the water clear rather than cloudy, and the algaecide stops algae taking hold and turning your pool green. Together these ingredients give bathers a great experience for very little maintenance effort. The tablets dissolve slowly and typically last around 3-4 days depending on how much water flows over them.

Use them in floating dispensers, chemical feeders or skimmer baskets.

Dose regularly to reach the recommended free chlorine level, 3-5 mg/l (ppm) for hot tubs or 1-3 mg/l (ppm) for swimming pools. Being slow release and long lasting, these tablets have only a minimal effect on the water’s pH for a tablet product.

Key Benefits

It’s best to keep a free chlorine range of 3 – 5mg/l for hot tubs and 1-3mg/l for swimming pools. These multifunctional tablets are well suited to regular dosing of your hot tub or pool, producing free active chlorine that kills bacteria and other harmful organisms, while also supplying the clarifier and algaecide at a good level of available chlorine.

Directions for Use

1. Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. If outside this range please use our PH plus or PH minus products to adjust for the best results.

2. Maintain free chlorine residuals for hot tubs between 3-5mg/l and for swimming pools between 1 – 3mg/l (ppm). Freshly filled hot tubs require an initial shock or start up dose of chlorine: 50mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours.

3. For floating dispenser: Fill the floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 3-5mg/l (ppm) desired range. Alternatively keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve 3-5mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the hot tub whilst bathing.

4. For chlorine feeders: Fill the dispenser and follow feeder instruction manuals on flow regulation to maintain required chlorine levels.

5. For skimmer baskets: Fill the basket with 2/3 tablets and monitor levels to maintain required chlorine levels.

6. It is recommended that you periodically (e.g. fortnightly or after heavy use) shock dose your pool to eliminate any excess contamination.

Note: If using in skimmer baskets we would suggest you run the pump often to prevent a build up of chlorine. Please ensure children to not have access to the skimmer as this could be dangerous.

Dose Rates (subject to water flow rate and temperature)

Small pool 40,000 litres of water requires approx 1 tablet to increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm) or approx 3 tablets to increase chlorine level by 3mg/l(ppm)

Large pool 80,000 litres of water requires approx 2 tablets to increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm) or approx 6 tablets to increase chlorine level by 3mg/l(ppm)

I brought this pack for my hot tub and its a cheap ripoff.1. The indicator panel to tell you what colours you need to match seems to be printed off a cheap 30 epson printer and does not even match the colours on their own website So no way to see what your results are if they worked.2. They dont work anyway. I dipped 3 strips across 3 days and even dipped one in vinegar well below the ph and none of them changed colour at all take a look at the photos. They all look the same and thts because the colour does not change whatsoever. You may as well dip any old bit of paper in there.3. Customer service was rubbish, didnt reply in more than 5 words at a time and then wouldnt even give me a refund or send new strips. Just sent me 2….AVOID AVOID AVOID

We simple place the recommended amount of tablets in our pool float and let them do there magic. They come in a handy child proof bottle and unlike other chlorine products we tried they dont have to be kept in a sealed box in the shed as the bottle is air tight once sealed. We Highly recomed these.

  139. Zachary I. Byrne (verified owner) –

Great product but alters the PH levels alot so ensure you have DeepBlue PH plus to hand also. Each tablet dissolves in about 5 days but you can pop one in every 8 days or so. Quite strong for a 6 person lazyspa so I take the tablet out every couple of days to lettg the chlorine burn off…and this makes the tablet last longer too

Seems to keep our 12 foot pool clean but, as others have stated, they are very ‘bleachy’. If you just throw them in you’ll have very noticeable white marked where they rest. I’ve had to buy a floating dispenser. Will probably go back to granules when these run out.

  145. Ale Gzz (verified owner) –

These are by far the best chlorine tablets I have ever used. They don’t dissolve straight away like others, not a over powering smell which is good and they keep the water crystal clear for so long. Will 100% buy them again

  170. Agnieszka Tyczynska (verified owner) –

These are big.If you’re buying for a floating mushroom, go for smaller ones as these are too big .Haven’t measured them but they are About the size of the bottom of a pint glass

  171. Georgia Ahmed (verified owner) –

    Great seller

  172. Pauligirl (verified owner) –

I have been using these for the past couple of years in my hot tub. But I’m not so fond of the new blue design.I don’t know why, but the blue seems to come off in non disolvable grit and either sits on the bottom of the spa making it feel sandy. Or some have got through the filter and have started blocking my inlet jet. So I have to regularly back flush the system. But otherwise they maintain a lovely clear and clean water easily.

  173. SocalDancer (verified owner) –

    Nothing better.

  174. Andrew Wilson –

    Avoid

  175. Linda Wilkinson (verified owner) –

Cost Effective in maintaining your Hot Tub!

  176. YourLuckyDay –

Ruined my lay z spa lining

  177. Darren Natasha Gowlo (verified owner) –

Useless item. Used my floater and after 2 days, nothing had dissolved. My test strips detected NO Chlorine whatsoever. Thr packaging smelt very very strong on arrival but I trusted the seller. I ended up putting one into the pool directly – what a stupid idea, it has bleached the bottom of my new pool. Seller has to agree to refund before you can send the item back – of course they ask you to “give it another go” which is pointless obviously. Avoid at all costs. I want my money back!!!

  178. That guy who buys stuff –

Perfect for our lay z spa miami

  179. Clara –

After messing about with a box of products. AHhhh. This product is brilliant I put two tablets in a float and that’s it. Our pool is clear and clean, really Deep blue and PH level perfect.Just use these from day 1.

  182. TEP20 –

    Too big for pool floaters

  183. Jon1959 –

    Easy to use

  184. Mr Bonnie Foster –

This is a huge tub, I thought it was much smaller. Maybe because I was thinking doctor size tablets who knows, but it was a shock. Have not used yet, but will update review when its warmer.Update put pool up today, can smell chlorine in the floater and water so I am guessing its doing its job. I dont have a filter so I manually move the floater around at fast speed to mix it more. Have not tested with strips yet, added two tablets to a 8ft x 24 inches deep splash pool to give it a good dose, then I will use one tablet and see how it goes. Will update in one week

  185. Miss Sukhwinder C. Reddy –

  220. Mrs Q. Douglas (verified owner) –

This is a very easy way of chlorinating your pool but you will need to Shock it every couple of weeks with another product as you cant control how fastslow the chlorine dissolves in your pool. I used to use granules but found them a bit toxic but I must admit Ill be returning to granules as I could control the chlorine levels much better and never had cloudy water.

  221. Jim K. (verified owner) –

This batch is better than the last batch. Previous batch I was getting sand in my water once the tablet had dissolved

  229. Emma Coulten –

I stopped using these in my spa as while they do sanitise by adding chlorine they also make the water acidic which requires that I then treat with pH increaser. I’ve switched instead to just using the granules which don’t create this problem. the price/value for money is fine, but you might be better off using granules instead.

  230. Andreas Fischer (verified owner) –

Work great in our inflatable hottub. No scum or anything. Good product. I don’t use anything else.

  231. Francisco S. –

Needed to help keep the water clean in our Bestway 12ft pool. Purchased a floater to pop these in, when you open the tub the chlorine smell hits you, simply pop and tablet in the floater and pop that in the pool when nobody is in there. The water only has a slight chlorine smell. The tablets last a long time so this tub will go far. Just the job!

  286. uwe schlter (verified owner) –

The clorine tablets case is great but the tablets don’t seem to disolve very well. Also the test strips aren’t exactly coming across very reliable: they give roughly the same reading everytime regardless of how many tablets and how long they’ve been in the pool for!? Didn’t come with instructions so we’ve had to trial/error/guess… Perhaps not the best kit to buy.

  326. Laeti76 –

Absolute Bargain! I purchased these for £39.82 for a 5KG tub which consists of 250 chlorine tablets.Lay-Z-Spa sell a 1KG tub for £19.99 which is only for 50 chlorine tablets, so for 250 tablets it would’ve cost me £99.95 but it only cost me £39.82 which works out at about £7.96 per 50 tablets. Absolute bargain if you ask me…These tablets are authentic and do a great job keeping my hot tub chemical levels correct. This tub will last me a very long time as I only tend to use 2 tablets per week.I don’t understand some reviews showing incorrect contents arriving and personally must say that this is not the case for me and that what arrived is what I ordered.I’m very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend for hot tub users.

I prefer these multifunction tablets to standard chlorine tablets, saves having to dose separately with algaecide and the built it clarifier definitely seems to make the water clearer. But my readings are over the scale I tend to but two tablets in 50 gm each when they have dissolved should I be using one not got a clue first time I’ve ever bought or used a hot tub I’ve tried all means even on granular and that used to ruin the water but these work fantastic

  490. Samantha Grice (verified owner) –

DO NOT use these on hot tubs, they are far too strong and emit too much gas – so much so that the gas has destroyed my hot tub cover and it is going to cost £80 to replace! You also can’t get straight into the tub as the gas being emitted is overcoming, need to have the tub running for 10 minutes without the cover on to let the gas disperse.

Started with these as recommended by LayZSpa, included in their starter kit etc. After a time of leaving them in the floating dispenser and getting numerous blocked filter error codes we switched to another brand of liquid chlorine. Even easier to administer, cheaper and no error codes. We take the filters out for a rinse, as recommended, no lumps of undisolved chlorine better still not getting blasted by the granules that settle in the air jet surround.

update. These tablets made our pool so cloudy and it had white bits floating in the water. We drained the pool without realising these were the problem. We just refilled our pool and it was perfect until we started using these again Same problem. Wont buy again.I have given this product 3 stars because in the last few days the pool water has gone from crystal clear and perfectly balanced to sticky and slightly less clear I wouldnt call it cloudy at all. This would indicate a high Ph but testing says its around 7.27.4 which is perfect. Im stumped and can only put it down to the introduction of these tablets.
