I’ve been trying to use Chlorine tablets in my lazy spa for sometime and i’ve decided to switch back to the granules after several weeks of no success with these. Why is this you may ask? Well if you asked a handful of people how much salt they like on their popcorn or how they like their steak cooked most people would have a different answer. You make it to order! Now imagine the same situation but you only had 1 product.. rare steak and heavy salted popcorn, it wouldn’t work and this is the issue with the chlorine tablets. Your trying to guess the demands of your lazy spa using a pre made product. With the chlorine granules you take a dip test and depending on the colour you know how many grams to add to the water. With the tablets while you can adjust the floating dispenser by opening the little flaps to limit how much chlorine is released; the time in which this takes is much greater then the granules and you don’t really know how much is being released, i.e a new tablet compared to a 3 day old tablet is different in size and the amount its releasing. If your not too fused about keeping your lazy spa on the nose then yeah shove one of these in every 3 or 4 days but if you want your lazy spa fine tuned get the granules.

Great gadget for my pool. I am not sure how many litres my pool is but it is round and takes about an hour and a half to fill and when I am sat in it, it reaches my chest. I used this chlorine dispenser along with the strips to check that the level of chlorine was right and have found it has kept my pool clean for two weeks. I have decided to pour the water out after this time but the chlorine has kept it clean and the children have really enjoyed it.

The floater is great, nothing to say about that. The price is also very attractive for including the chlorine tablets, floater and testing strips. My only disappointment was the testing strips and instructions. I had high levels of pH and Alkalinity after testing the water and hey don’t tell you what to do in the instructions in that scenario.I had to do some research online as I’m very new to pool care and concluded that I had to buy more chemicals to reduce those levels. I got an Alkalinity and pH reducer online and it seems to have helped since. But it would have been nice to have more guidance in the instructions. The tests do not provide exact readings as well, but for the price I guess it’s ok.Still a good kit, which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Very pleased to find these and got them on the basis of the other recommendations and reviews for a large (8X4) paddling pool. Two tablets on the smallest aperture easily lasted for two weeks in the summer. imagine if I’d gone to some specialist pool supplier! I’d come out with some hugely expensive filter or a giant box of tabs and pay over the odds as well. Well done here!

Item did not include all the items and took 2 months to arrive. Avoid!!!
HeebyGeeby (verified owner) –
I thought that the chlorine tabs are easy to use in a paddling pool and very effective. I just pop a crushed one in to shock the initial water then add a full tablet in a mini floater to keep the level even. Before using this method paddling pools were a bit of a nightmare and becoming a slimy mess every few days. Not to mention the risks of bacterial growth and larvae infesting the waters. This will keep the children safe with due care and diligence.

Medine Alisha Holtz –
I wouldn’t use any other product other than this for our hot tub, as it does exactly what it is supposed to do. We tried smaller tablets, which didn’t register on the testing strips at all. This product however chlorinates the pool and keeps us safe from harmful water bacteria.

These tablets really are the most cost effective way of sanitizing a hot tub. Simple to use, just drop them in to your tubs filtration basket, they offer an all in one option to looking after water quality. I have used a wide variety of chemicals in the past with numerous bottles in the cupboard to prove it and found I struggled to maintain good water quality. These tablets make that extremely easy and are a very affordable solution – highly recommend

I believe this product is a fake, when comparing it against the clear water tablets I purchased at B&Q, the label looks faded and blurry, also when I opened the tub they were no where near as strong as the others I had, they were a different colour and much more dusty. The tablets themselves smelt more like a household bleach than chlorineI wouldnt recommend buying these!I would ensure you get them from the company or somewhere like B&Q

Much simpler to use than separate chemicals which I couldn’t get to grips with. I put 1-2 tablets in the floating dispenser which lasts about 3 days depending on use of hot tub (used in Lay Z Spa Monaco). I found that I needed to also purchase the DeepBlue clarifier as the tablets contain algaecide which I think is what made the water a bit cloudy..poured clarifier in and now have sparkly Deep blue too!!! Fast delivery, highly recommend for a simple way to maintain a lay z spa, very happy with my purchase. Don’t get your nose too close when opening the pot as it is a very strong smell!!!!

I brought this pack for my hot tub and its a cheap ripoff.1. The indicator panel to tell you what colours you need to match seems to be printed off a cheap £30 epson printer and does not even match the colours on their own website! So no way to see what your results are if they worked.2. They dont work anyway. I dipped 3 strips across 3 days and even dipped one in vinegar (well below the ph!) and none of them changed colour at all – take a look at the photos. They all look the same and thts because the colour does not change whatsoever. You may as well dip any old bit of paper in there.3. Customer service was rubbish, didnt reply in more than 5 words at a time and then wouldnt even give me a refund or send new strips. Just sent me £2….AVOID AVOID AVOID

They don’t dissolve in a hurry! Takes s9 man6 Days. To get results faster I ended up crushing and scattering. The PH stayed acid.

This is the first time using this brand on my pool. We have a 12 foot. The other brand I used, I generally kept topped up to at least 3 in the dispenser and the test strips indicated perfect levels. This was more value for money when I had to buy more as I needed more strip tests too. After looking through numerous reviews I decided to try. The dispenser is the same as the one I already have, but this one seems to shut up better than my other one which is a plus already because the tablets when they come out bleach the bottom of the pool.It says to keep the dispenser topped up, I’ve got 4 in, can fit more but I don’t want too much in, checked levels everyday and they are in perfect range. This is being used with an intex pump too.No problems to date and working just as well as the others I was using!

Bought to revive my hot tub after not using it for the past few weeks after running out of chlorine granules (filter left running). These multi function tablets brought my hot tub water back to life after going slightly green and having a bit of a bad smell! After leaving the tablets to get to work in the floater for a few days we enjoyed the hot tub once again (and in minus temperatures)! I can see these tablets will last sometime and they are also much easier to use than granules as you pop a couple into the floater and leave it to work it’s magic rather than adding the chlorine once a day along with any other chemicals you need. I shall definitely consider purchasing these again when I run out of them.

Bought to use with my lazy spa I was very nervous that it would take me a while to cotton on to how to use this. Quite easy to shock the water and now maintaining it is a doddle! The floater works great and the easy use three in one test strips are fantastic and simple. Recommended it to friends and family alike.

Being new to ‘pool care’ this summer after buying a 15ft above ground pool on a whim, I had no idea what I needed in terms of chemicals and it was all statting to look a bit complicated! Enter this product!!Dead easy to use in my small floating dispenser and keeps the water crystal clear and the bottom of the pool non slippery. It’s probably jot very scientific but I just fill the floating thing with tablets and when they’ve dissolved down to about half the size, I top it back up. Seems to be working like a charm.

This is a very easy way of chlorinating your pool but you will need to Shock it every couple of weeks with another product as you cant control how fast/slow the chlorine dissolves in your pool. I used to use granules but found them a bit toxic but I must admit Ill be returning to granules as I could control the chlorine levels much better and never had cloudy water.

Avoid at all costs, these tablets are the worst iv ever used, they break up and block the filter, other makes come with a sealed bag inside the tub which keeps them fresh but these ones are all discoloured and bits falling off them. The seller is also a nightmare to deal with, they expected me to pay the return postage to return a faulty product, emailed them many times but no joy.

Used these instead of chlorine granules in a hot tub, much better using these tabs in floating dispenser. No instructions on how to use as pointed out by other reviewers but I put 4 in the dispenser and it controls the chlorine perfectly. I just check they’re still there and will renew when dissolved. Very pleased with purchase.

Have no problem with DeepBlue products use them regularly the only thing is with the chlorine granules is having to work out how many grams to use per 1000 litres as it says on the label 20mg/l ppm had to use a calculator¤ why don’t they just put down when you first fill the tub up how many grams would help people whose just bought a tub for the first time

A great product. Lightweight but Havent had any issues s. We used 1 tablet in a 4000 litre pool & My sons started to loose skin on his hands. We think the chlorine was too strong. He did spend quite a few hours in there and took it out when swimming . We use the min setting in the dispenser.

S. Calabresemazzitelli (verified owner) –
Absolutely useless. These tablets, despite the so-called glowing reviews are terrible. Firstly they dissolve quicker than the last tablets I used. Secondly they dont dissolve fully and clog up the filter, causing it to shut down. Finally, they make managing the chemical balance of the hot tub a nightmare.

Chlorine tablets are essential for keeping pool water clear and hygienic. These chlorine tablets (10 in this pack) are placed in the plastic float and dissolve and release chlorine over about 7-10 days. Therefore the 10 tablets will last 70-100 days or so for a garden pool about 8-10 feet diameter. The float is easy to use, and although not the most robust piece of plastic, all it needs to do is float round the pool and so unlikely to encounter much stress to damage it. There are a few test strips included but these come in a foil container and once this is opened will deteriorate on exposure to air unless protected in a sealed container (not supplied). These are insufficient in number for the season and so a separate supply will need to be ordered. Reasonable at the price.Sept. 2017 update; Although I used these as instructed and the chlorine/pH was within the optimum my paddling pool still went green after 3 weeks or so. I was surprised and so revisited the small print. It actually says ‘reduces the amount of algaecide and flocculent needed’. Well I had to order some algaecide and fast dissolving chlorine tablets to ‘shock’ the pool. This resolved it and the pool cleared. So algaecide is needed with these – chlorine tablets alone are insufficient. The water was slightly cloudy but the pool vacuum and pump resolved this. The float is however good, lasted all summer, and required for the slow release chlorine tablets.
Wendy Juggins –

Using these in a hot tub it has been some whilesince I last made a purchase havlng used bromine previously due to a previous economial large tub purchase. Ok, glad to be back with chlorine and this product was well packed, with a hard to open lid that would have deterred the most determinedchild and possibly most adults the lid was finally removed. No loose tablets here they were contained within a sealed bag inside the plastic tub. Now nI’m not sure if this was an additional level of security or just another measure to keep the product fresh but once the bag was open the strong pungent smell of chlorine was unavoidable. This product was so fresh it was unbelievable and when added to my hot tub in the measured amount the differenc was undeniable, once again the water smelt and felt fresh and a feeling of protection and germ killing was once more evidend. So much better than bromine, much more control able and the water appears brighter, with the particular freshnessof this seller I beleive this is possibly chlorine a its best. Fantastic fresh product, cation should be taken when using this product not to inhale fumes, keep in a dry environment and never handle this product without gloves outside and not in enclosed space. Treat this product as you would bleach or any othrer dangerous product and keep away from children.
Tia C –
Does the job as far as sorting the water out, but leaves annoying bits (like crumbs) of chlorine on the bottom of the tub, makes the tub feel like there’s bits of grit on the bottom. Yuk!

We’ve had nothing but problems since using these tablets. They leave a solid deposit which never dissolves and kept clogging up the filters on our inflatable hot tub. We almost gave up on the hot tub completely because it became such a hassle to keep clearing these deposits out. We haven’t used these since we realised how bad they were and since going back to our regular brand we’ve had absolutely no problems.

Okay, you have a spa or pool. What now?Well you had better make sure that the chemical levels are correct or you will either end up with instead of bottle blonde hair, green flowing locks or a terrible infection from under dosed water. And these little sticks will keep you on the straight and narrow. Simply dip in the water daily and compare to the colour chart on the side of the storage container. A few seconds later you know what the condition of your pool is.Unless it’s already green and full of gunk, in which case best you empty and clean it… Likewise if you get up in the morning and find the area surrounding your spa covered with dead small animals and birds, you’ve probably been a bit heavy on the chlorine. Best you avoid the area for a bit.Overall, simple, easy and idiot proof.

I had run out of Chlorine Tablets, so I ordered these from here as they were expensive. They arrived very quickly. The water has stayed clear with a good level of chlorine. What else to say?
Jacqui Le Masurier –
These have proved more effective than other brands in keeping chlorine levels up in my hot tub. Recommended.
Denyse (verified owner) –
These tablets aren’t that good for inflatable spas as they don’t completely dissolve in the water, even using the dispenser. this results in lot of bits at the bottom of your hot-tub which also blocks the inlet valve for the filter which causes the pump to stall so beware
Francesco CescoP Pradella –
Followed instructions few days later went to use tub and it had bleached the bottom of tub. It was blue and now its green.

Does a good job of maintaining the chlorine levels in my hot tub. Just pop 1 in the floater and job done! The tablets last well too- I didnt use or maintain my tub for about 9 days and when I went to check the levels etc, there was still a bit of the tablet left in the floater and the levels were fine!

After some research I decided to put 2 tablets in my LayZSpa Miami ChemConnect dispenser today after draining and refilling it (800 litres) and within around 2hrs my spa was at the perfect chlorine strength using the dip test strips and is ready to use. May drop down to 1 tablet next time once these 2 have dissolved as it will have had its loading dose and see how that goes. But already far easier to use than mixing up the granulated chlorine and trying to get it right using that mixture. Must use a dispenser though, don’t add them just to the spa water directly!

Super product. The reason for two stars is because when I opened the package last night, the lid was off the tub and I decorated my floor (and dog) with granules! After an 11hr day I did not want to (or expect to) be sweeping the floor. It still smells strongly of bleach when I come inž That aside, its a good product.

They are rather large tablets so too big for my floater. I’ve used a small net washing bag with zip on and to hold it in place near to filter outlet. Tablet lasts for ages 4 to 6 weeks in 12ft pool. Water still clear even though filture pump has been off now for 2 weeks

I want to start the review with the positive, the seller was very prompt at returning messages and offered either a return or a 20% refund. I couldn’t have asked for more from them as they are not the manufacturer! The product is not very good though, I bought this as recommended by lay z spa but once we put the tablets into the provided chemical dispenser and left overnight we woke up to find it had bleached our brand new hot tub. Not happy at all! The chlorine levels were at a safe level so I have no idea how this has happened. I have read this has happened to a few people, I am going to try a floating dispenser to see if that works better. I’m trying to contact the manufacturer to complain but so far no response from them.

My wife and her mum both suffer from a complex skin shedding problem due to a rare genetic problem and dietary binges. This makes the hot tub water become cloudy. I have tried many many chlorine tablets but to no effect and the tub water was really cloudy. Your tablets are simply the best. They have solved the problem of murky cloudy water. The water is so clear now that I can see everything including their varicose veins.

The tablets took days to dissolve so not the right product for me I’m afraid
Saad (verified owner) –
Found each tablet lasted longer than a week. I have a large 8ft pool but not sure of the chlorine is a little strong as its a little hard to get perfect readings on the tesr kit
