Description

The 5Kg size of Mini 20g Slow Release Stabilised Chlorine Tablets.

Widely relied on to keep hot tub and swimming pool water safe and free of bacteria, these chlorine tablets are stabilised against chlorine loss from sunlight and release their chlorine gradually over 2-4 days, depending on how much water flows past them.nnnnUse them in floating dispensers, chemical feeders or skimmer baskets, whichever suits your setup.nnnnDose regularly to keep free chlorine at the recommended 3-5 mg/l (ppm) in hot tubs or 1-3 mg/l (ppm) in swimming pools. Slow release and long lasting, these tablets have as little effect on water pH as you’ll find in a stabilised chlorine tablet.nnnnKey FeaturesnnnnIt’s best to keep a free chlorine range of 3 – 5mg/l for hot tubs and 1-3mg/l for swimming pools. These stabilised tablets are well suited to regular dosing of your hot tub or swimming pool, generating free active chlorine that kills bacteria and other potentially harmful organisms, with a high level of both available chlorine and chlorine stabiliser.nnnnApplication Instructionsnnnn1. Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. If outside this range please use our PH plus or PH minus products to adjust for the best results.nnnn2. Maintain free chlorine residuals for hot tubs between 3-5mg/l and for swimming pools between 1 – 3mg/l (ppm). Freshly filled hot tubs require an initial shock or start up dose of chlorine: 50mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours.nnnn3. For floating dispenser: Fill the floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 3-5mg/l (ppm) desired range. Alternatively keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve 3-5mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the hot tub whilst bathing.nnnn4. For chlorine feeders: Fill the dispenser and follow feeder instruction manuals on flow regulation to maintain required chlorine levels.nnnn5. For skimmer baskets: Fill the basket with sufficient tablets and monitor levels to maintain required chlorine levels.nnnn6. It is recommended that you periodically (e.g. fortnightly or after heavy use) shock dose your pool to eliminate any excess contamination.nnnnNote: If using in skimmer baskets we would suggest you run the pump often to prevent a build up of chlorine. Please ensure children to not have access to the skimmer as this could be dangerous.nnnnDose Rates (subject to water flow rate and temperature)nnnnMedium hot tub 1,000 litre (220 Gallons) of water requires approx 1 tablet to increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm) or 3 tablets to increase chlorine level by 3mg/l(ppm)nnnnLarge hot tub 1,500 litre (330 Gallons) of water requires approx 2 tablets to increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm) or 6 tablets to increase chlorine level by 3mg/l(ppm)nnnnSwimming pools add 1 tablet per 4,500 litres (1000 Gallons) of water and monitor levels.

Easy to use though

Very pleased to find these and got them on the basis of the other recommendations and reviews for a large (8X4) paddling pool. Two tablets on the smallest aperture easily lasted for two weeks in the summer. imagine if I’d gone to some specialist pool supplier! Very good little device. Good value for money. Prompt delivery.Chlorine tablets on their own will not stop the water turning green. You need to use an algaecide as well. Test weekly the PH of your water by using a test strip. Once the PH is within the acceptable limits, add the recommended amount of algaecide for the volume of water in your pool.I use two chlorine tablets per week with the little ‘slot’ on the tablet holder set at ‘half open’. I dose the pool with the recommended amount of algaecide once per week. Before using the pool I close the ‘slot’ on the little tablet holder and open it halfway again when finished. My filter is left running 24/7. My pool is 13 ft diameter. A ‘once weekly’ check is all that is required to keep your pool water in good order. After about 3 months or so I empty around one third of the pool water and top up again and then test and correct the PH of the water and start the weekly cycle again. I have found by doing this the water stays clear and balanced. I have been using this method successfully for around 10 years now.

We’ve had nothing but problems since using these tablets. They leave a solid deposit which never dissolves and kept clogging up the filters on our inflatable hot tub. We almost gave up on the hot tub completely because it became such a hassle to keep clearing these deposits out. We haven’t used these since we realised how bad they were and since going back to our regular brand we’ve had absolutely no problems.

  313. Kshitij –

Was recommend this from a friend and I like him was also really pleased with the purchase. When I upgraded from a small paddling pool to 10ft x 30 inch high pool I hadn’t really researched what I needed. This is a great little kit to help get you going, but I also ended up buying another kit for PH balance and Algaecide. The kit includes the Special Float to put the chlorine tablets in, 10 Chlorine Tablets and 10 Test Strips.I was putting 3 tablets in to start with and then went down to 2, this was with 2 slot holes open on the float.2 tablets were lasting about week before they dissolved completely and needed replacing.I’m really surprised with all the 1 star reviews saying tablets don’t dissolve.Maybe they’re not opening the slots at the bottom side of the float. It’s possible to have 0-4 holes open allowing you to adjust how quickly the tablets dissolve.I ended up with 2 different types of test strips and used both the first few times with the same results when testing the water.I now use just 1 every 4-5 days depending on how much the kids are using it.All packed up for the winter now in safe place away from the kids.

I’ve got an INTEX 8ft Easy Up pool for my family during Covid. I bought this for my 8 foot pool in the summer. I got 10 tablets, the dispenser and some test stripes. The dispenser is really easy to use and can be adjusted depending on how much chlorine is needed in the pool. I changed the tablets roughly every 8 to 10 days by which time they had dissolved. Tablets and dispenser worked really well and kept my pool clean all summer My son used the pool all the time and said that he didnt realise that there was chlorine in the pool which was good. Only downside is the test stripes. I used them once and didnt like them so I threw them away.

these went straight in the bin, i recieved 20 tablets wrapped in a clear bag, other than the white envelope they arrived in, there was no packaging and no instruction, nothing to indicate what these tablet like things were, they did have a bleach/chlorine type smell but that could be anything, without a laboratory there is no way of knowing if these were genuine or not, i have children and in no way was i gonna risk there safety by putting an unknown product in the pool water. i will not reccommend or use this seller again because of this.

I received this product ahead of the scheduled delivery day which I was very happy about. However before purchasing these you should read the description and not rely on the photo as you will only be supplied 10 test strips not the 50 pictured. I contacted the seller about this but they failed to acknowledge that it was wrong to list this product with the wrong photo.I cant yet comment on how well it works but my hope is it will maintain the chlorine levels in my hot tub better. The actual dispenser and tablets seem fine, I have set it up on a low setting and will monitor the water balance.I would rate this higher but I hate false advertisement.

So glad I brought this along side pool. The before pic was after my children playing in it all day so has become cloudy the After pic is the next morning after the chlorine float being in all night. I do not have a filter on the pool I just use a net to get all the bits out the water in the after pic is 4 days old and still going strong. Definitely recommend the float
